bunglefans are also brainwashed into thinking they have a record setting qb like marino or manning, or even a qb who can get their team into the championship game like brees. brees did more with less than last season, and that was coming off a shoulder injury, not a knee injury to a qb who was immobile to begin with.

theyre a joke. they think only a black Jesus can coach that group to an 8-8 season. LOL

I work with a Bengals fan at my second job. This jagoff just started last week and stopped in while I was working my weekly Sunday (I work one day a week, and will either switch to Saturdays or quit when football season gets here).

He sees my car with the Steelers sticker and the Steelers lisence plate frame on the back of it.He didn't realize it was mine and told me how he was going to smash the window in,take the plate frame off and break it,and then key up the car.

I was off camera in the coffee area,so I grabbed his wrist, twisted his arm behind his back, and told him if he wanted to live he'll just stay the f--k away from my car.

He said he would,so I let go.He started talking Palmer this,Chad Johnson that,TJ Houshman****** this.

So I replied with:

My Super Bowl Champion quarterback can beat up your Heisman winning quarterback.

Ben to Holmes, knocking the Bengals out of the playoffs for years to come.

And,most teams would take Hines Ward on thier team over Chad Johnson any day of the week.

He got pissed and left.

seriously......GIVE IT A REST. come up with something better. here is one of my favorite quotes from this site......grab some popcorn and some iron city beer....

What is a Steelers Fan?
What's the big deal about Steeler football? Being a Steeler fan means so much more than football.

It means being from a corner of the world unlike any other. It means being from a place where the people are so tough-minded that they have survived the Homestead strikes, the Johnstown flood and most recently the Etna Floods (most people would move to higher ground).

These people have the DNA of hard work(not very good in science), in mills and mines, without the necessity of complaint.

They live simply, with no frills. They don't have movie stars or fancy cars (in took then years just to get indoor plumbing).

Instead, they have simple traditions like kielbasa and Kennywood.

They live in distinctive neighborhoods like Polish Hill and the Hill District and all of the surrounding counties (you mean they live in Pittsburgh).

These people are genuine (are fake ones available?).

They don't have chic internet cafes (they're illiterate) and cappuccinos, but they have The Original Hot Dog joint, Eat n' Park and Iron City Beer.

People from Pittsburgh don't have sunny beaches or fancy boats, but the rivers roll gently, connecting the small towns of people whose histories have been built on strength and humility.

People from Pittsburgh don't have the biggest shopping malls or the best nightclubs (who would go to see fat ugly people dance?), but they'll take Friday night high school football and Steeler Sunday over anything.

Steeler football means so much more than you think. It symbolizes a diaspora of generations who had the best childhood they could imagine (you have forgotten the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's when the Steelers sucked).

They ran free without a care or concern in the valleys of those Allegheny Mountains (now we know why they have problems, they were running around when they should have been in school). Their blue-collar world was easy ... there was no one to tell them that they lacked material things. There was no one to tell them that they needed more.

As the steel mills closed and the jobs disappeared, some of these people had (wanted) to leave. While the world benefits because they spread their Pittsburgh values (we should have passed a law keeping them there), they long for their home where things were simpler and more pure (please go back).

They teach their kids about Jack Lambert and Joe Greene in hopes of departing not just the knowledge (I remember Parker, Nixon & Austin), but the feeling that they represented.

They are everywhere, those Terrible Towels. They wave, not just for the team, but for the hearts they left behind. They wave in living rooms in Fort Lauderdale and in the bars D.C (they love Pittsburgh but live everywhere else?). They wave all the way to the Seattle Superdome! They wave for the Rooney family (who sends that $.10 towel for $5), whose values mirror our own - loyalty, grit, and humility. They wave for football players like Jerome Bettis and Hines Ward, whose unselfishness and toughness have allowed sports to be about the game and the team.

Make no mistake that Steeler football is not just about football. I could not be prouder to be from (couldn't wait to get out either) the Pittsburgh area than I am right now!! Even if you no longer live in the area, you have South Western Pennsylvania in your blood no matter where you go . and deep down in your heart of hearts, you can still hear the Super Bowls of times past, the excitement in everyone's voices especially our fathers, cousins, and anyone else who gathered around the TV (one TV for 4 - 5 families) on Football Sundays!! Make no mistake, its just as exciting right now if not more!! It's not just about rivalries and who is better than the other, it's about family, tradition and roots! It's more than football, but its football at its finest!! If you now live in Colorado, Ohio, Indiana, Chicago, Florida, Iowa, Texas (do any of they still live in Pittsburgh?). be proud of where you were born and who your FIRST favorite football team was!!.. (Just remember your grandfather was embarrassed by the Steelers)

What is a Bengals Fan?

What's the big deal about Bengals football? Being a Bengals fan means so much more than football.

It means being from a corner of the world where living in a trailer is upscale. It means being from a place where the people are so stupid, if you gave them a penny for their intelligence, you'd get change.

These people have the DNA of tree stumps.

They live simply, with no lives. They don't have class, common sense, a PROFESSIONAL football team.....or teeth.

Instead, they have simple traditions like humping their sisters and eating their boogers.

They live in rundown trailers and under bridges.

These people are genuinely morons.

They don't have toilets or showers. They have the woods and spit baths.

People from Cincinnati don't have sunny beaches or fancy boats, they have concrete slabs in the backs of their trailers and ride their blow up rafts in cesspools.

People from Cincinnati don't have the biggest shopping malls or the best nightclubs but they'll take Friday night pinky wrestling and bobbing for turds in the outhouse over anything.

Bengals football means so much more than you think. It symbolizes a diaspora of generations who were all inbred.

They ran free without a care or concern in the backyards of their neighbor's trailers. Their world was easy ... there was no one to tell them that the Bungles really, really sucked.

Some of these people had (wanted) to leave. While the world heaves because they spread their Shitsinnati STD's, they long for their home where they can scratch their nads in private.

They teach their kids about driving under the influence, stealing old ladies' purses, fondling children, smoking weed and doing crack in hopes of departing not just the knowledge but the hope that they follow in their own footsteps.

They are everywhere, those bandwagons.

Make no mistake that Bengals football is not just about football. Even if you no longer live in the area, you have critters in your hair, privates and bloodstream, no matter where you go . and deep down in your heart of hearts, you can still hear the cry of the Bengals - LOSERS ONCE AGAIN!

Seems to me, junior, that our "sorry excuse for a season" matched yours, but we got the cherry on top of the ice cream cone - we knocked the NFL's criminal element out of the playoffs - - AGAIN. :toofunny::toofunny:

atleast he got injured ON THE FIELD like a football player. ben on the other hand doesn't wear a helmet and can't avoid old ladies driving.

and i believe ben had every excuse in the book. ranging from breaking his nail and being on his period.

Typical Bungles preschool mentality.

So - you're saying that serious and life-threatening off the field medical problems shouldn't affect how a player performs on the field? What planet have you been living on?

In Ben's case, porkchop - he had not only one serious medical problem last season, but 3. Do your homework before you flap those butt cheeks.

I would have accepted his accident as an excuse if it happened during the season, but by the time regular season rolled around, little benny was perfectly healthy (oh wait, there was something wrong with his hand, had a fever, and his cat must have died as well)

the only thing that changed was his IQ. now benny rides the short bus to games..

This coming from someone that "smacks" with lame Photoshopped pictures which have already been posted hundreds of times before. When you type something actually worth responding to, maybe I'll lay off the smilies. Your year+ old warmed over "smack" deserves no other response.

True, but it's no worse than the brain injury that caused the steelers to miss out on the playoffs last year and likely this season as well...assuming he isn't replaced by Charlie Batch before week 6.

It's sad really...he was never more than a game-managing quarterback to begin with and now that his mind is obviously disfunctional, he's apparently going to war without a gun.

Oh well, he can still drink like a champion right?

The Bengals run a high powered offense, true. But Ben has been a much more efficient QB than Palmer.

Looks like someone is caught up in the ESPN hype of how sexy a high powered offense is, isn't it?

Carson Palmer- 1,461 pass attempts- 10,768 yards = 7.4 yards per attempt.
Ben Roethlisberger- 1,032 pass attempts- 8,519 yards = 8.3 yards per attempt

Of course, Carson has more touchdowns, but just as many INTS. More attempts, sure, but Interceptions are interceptions. you still lose the ball.

Not to mention Carson Palmer has fumbled the ball 2 and a half more times than Roethlisberger: 22 to 9.

You can have the greatest show on filth. I think we'll be content to keep pounding the rock and airing it out when we want to...

I don't know why you Bungles fans keep harping on Ben's injuries from last season. I have come across very, very few Steelers fans who blame the Steelers' woes of last season on anything but the fact that the entire team wasn't in sync and quite possibly had some ego problems coming off of a Super Bowl win the season before, which isn't all that uncommon. I haven't heard any of the Steelers' players or anyone in the front office blaming last year's debacle on Ben's injuries and series of medical maladies either. :banging:

By golly, the kid's got a point.

Yes, a completely invalid one:

Ben Roethlisberger insisted he felt no lingering effects of a concussion Sunday, and as if to prove it he spoke with crystal clarity about where to place blame for Pittsburgh's 20-13 loss to the Raiders. "It starts with me," Roethlisberger said after throwing four interceptions. "I'm letting the whole team down."

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_kmtmn/is_200610/ai_n16952274

Roethlisberger took the blame for losing last season's AFC title game, after which he tearfully promised running back Jerome Bettis that he would get Bettis to a Super Bowl if Bettis came back for one more season.

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4191/is_20060123/ai_n16024041

Repeating the same old tired bullshit over and over and over again doesn't make it so.
