Steelers move practice indoors
Tuesday, July 24, 2007

By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Mike Tomlin moved the Steelers' first afternoon training camp practice indoors when a thunderstorm rolled into the Latrobe area just before the scheduled start.

The move disappointed hundreds of fans who turned out to watch the new coach's first practice open to the public at Saint Vincent College.

The Steelers, scheduled to start practice at 2:55 p.m., started at 3:30 p.m. indoors, which was closed to fans.

The next practice open to the public will take place Wednesday at 2:55 p.m.

Wow, I feel bad for those that went today. That rain that was there, is here in my hometown.

Bummer - HTG and X-T were going today. However, best to err on the side of caution, especially when lightning is involved.

Yep...

I just get scared everytime I hear that... Because that is exactly how training camp went in 2003.

I know, I know... NOTHING is the same.

You can't blame a man for worrying though, can you?!?

Amen to that. Might want to find a warm day, but also a day that it won't rain.

Today it was just scattered showers. Just a nasty day. One minute it was sunshine and the next it was showers. It felt like Tampa Bay here today. That's why I stayed away from Latrobe today. May head up tomorrow.
