I love the fact that he and Clark are good friends. That means that instead of snipping at each other for playing time, they will help each other get better.

I liked an idea I heard yesterday about using a third safety instead of a third CB in nickel situations. Clark would make an excellent nickel back.

That sounds good, Carter could do that too. Tomlin is trying different things on offense and defense so this is a possibility.

Ask me who I trust more...

Carter definitely impressed me late last year when he replaced Polomalu. But I think that he has trouble covering WR's or he would be a FS instead of a backup at SS. Maybe Clark could pull it off, I guess that is something we will all have to wait n see

Still..

As I said before...

Who would you trust more.. our Safeties... or our CB's?

Yep..

Keep the safeties.

Carter sucks, Smith and Clark can both play.

I wouldnt say that Carter sucks I mean he is a pro football player and I have seen him dish out a few hits before too.

Agree there. But I do feel Clark and Smith are above carter in skills.

I thought that Carter was going to be gone last year for some reason. You know though.. Carter didn't play too bad last year either... Tell me... what better legitimate second string could you want outside of SS Carter and FS Clark ?
