View Full Version : Big series in the MLB...

By early June, everyone just assumed that the ChiSox were gonna run away with the Central...at one point they had a 15 game lead on the Tribe.

Fast forward to September. Tribe is the hottest team in baseball, won 12 of last 13, best record in baseball since the break, and made a statement last night by beating Chicago in Chicago to pull within 2 1/2 games of the White Sox.

It shows that in any sport, with a "Team first" attitude and a little chemistry, anything can happen. This is not anywhere near the best team the Tribe has fielded in the last 15 years, but I'd love it if they won the World Series....I know, I know, they need to make the playoffs first, but, after the BoSox broke the Curse of the Bambino, why not bust up the curse of Rocky Colavito too?

Who knows? I'd be slightly happier if they won than if the Yankee's did...but that says almsot nothing.

It's having a hot hand that's important right now...that and a little luck.

Look at the Yanks. They play a bunch of games against the Orioles, and the Birds are pretty bad and have little chance of beating the Yanks WITH Brian Roberts. Without him, they suck and have no chance.
