Gore out with broken hand

Running back Frank Gore sustained a broken right hand during the morning practice. He is expected to miss at least a week -- and possibly several exhibition games -- with the injury. Coach Mike Nolan said Gore will be re-evaluated next Monday.
The bone is expected to take four weeks to heal, so it is uncertain if Gore will play during the exhibition season. This means that Michael Robinson, Maurice Hicks and Thomas Clayton will get extended work during training camp. Nolan said the club could also look to add another running back to the roster.

Damn, bad day for 49ers today. Hope he comes back soon, he?s an essential part of their offense and I want to see him play against us. Just 4 weeks so he should be back healthy.

Looks like it'll be 100% just in time for the regular season.

The 49ers would be hurting if Gore went down for a while...their starting runningback would be Michael Robinson.

Hopefully he'll be back. Frank Gore is a good RB.

This is huge for San Fran. If he's not playing, that's a huge loss in their running game.

Just a minor set back for them sounds like he will be back pretty quick.

I hope he's back quick and that the injury doesn't linger all season.

I like the 49ers,and I like Gore. He's essential to thier offense, without him all the pressure is on Alex Smith.

At least he didn't go to trial for a drug offense ......... it's been a bad week if your last name is Gore. :dang: Seriously, I hope he is ok. It is a clich? about wanting to beat a team at its best, but it is one I subscribe to. I hope he is healthy for our match up. The Steelers need not fear any teams running attack.

I hope he is ready for the game against the steelers. I want a fair match game so he def. needs to start that game.
