Panthers | Minter officially retires
Tue, 7 Aug 2007 13:57:30 -0700 Updating a previous report, Panthers.com reports Carolina Panthers (http://www.kffl.com/team/10/nfl) FS Mike Minter (http://www.kffl.com/player/280/nfl) (knee) officially announced his retirement Tuesday, Aug. 7. "I've thought about it long and hard. It's been a great 10 years in the NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl). I could not have spent it at a better place than Carolina with an owner like Jerry Richardson. I don't want to be at 80 or 85 percent but want to be remembered as a player who always played at 100 percent," Minter said.

He was a great player, I wish him luck, and I like that quote, wants to be remembered as the player who always gave 100 percent. Big loss for the panthers

Another great player and person in the NFL.

He has one of my favorite Chris Berman nicknames: Mike "After Dinner" Minter
