I was thinking about it today, and I think the AFC North could be the best division in the NFL. I really do believe this. All 4 teams seem that they have a good future.

Bengals - If they can improve there off the field behavior, then can be a playoff contender every year. They have a very good offense is Palmer, Rudi and Chad Johnson, and Housh. There defense could be getting better as they drafted Leon Hall and will have more expierence in the future. Marvin Lewis is a good coach but he needs to get his players out of trouble. If he can do that, the Bengals like I've said before, will be a playoff contender every year.

Browns - The Browns got a big time offensive lineman in Joe Thomas, and found a franchise QB in Quinn. That's what has held the Browns back in the past, is the fact they haven't had a franchise QB. They got pretty good WR's in Edwards and a really good TE in Winslow. However, if Crennel doesn't improve the Browns this year, then they will be finding a new coach. Browns fans should be excited for the future though.

Ravens - Every year the Ravens have a great defense. They finally found a QB who is atleast servicable but McNair is starting to age and might not be around for a little longer. The Ravens picked up a really good RB in Willis McGhee and he will be better than Jamal Lewis. Brian Billick has been there for a while now and has done pretty good for what he has had. Billick will be the Ravens coach for a good while as that is a good thing for the Ravens because he knows how to coach. Even though McNair is aging, I'm sure the Ravens will find a QB for the future though.

Steelers - Steelers have a franchise QB, RB of the present/future, future #1 WR and a coach that looks very promising. However, there oline is aging and they need to find replacements for the future. As long as Dick Lebeau is there, the defense will always but tough and very good. I think right now the Steelers perception isn't as good as it should be is because they didn't make the playoffs last year. That's fine I understand that but I'm looking at the overall picture for the future and I honestly think the Steelers have a very good future. Tomlin is a winner, and did a very good job with the Vikings defense and he is doing everything right so far.

IMO, I think the Ravens and the Steelers will be the top 2 most of the next few years. It will change some years but I think the Ravens and the Steelers will be the consesus top 2.

I think in the future the ravens are going to be screwed a little bit

there team is by far the oldest in the AFC north

in 5-6 years from now i think the browns will be on top of the north with the bengals and stelers fighting for second because palmer will be a great QB
and the ravens rebuilding

I agree the Ravens are an aging team. McNair and Lewis are on the fringe of their careers and I think they will miss Thomas this year.

The Bengals are interesting... They have some amazing talent on offense (don't like any of them but I can't deny the talent) but they are going to have to address their serious defensive shortcomings. I don't know what their cap situation is but they aren't going to be able to keep all that offensive firepower forwever especially if they make some moves on D.

I think the Browns are a team on the rise. (But lets be honest, you can't go much lower.)

And I think the Steelers have the best organization in the division and will keep a good balance of veterans and youth and stay competitive.

Overall, I think it's a tough division and while things may even out a bit over the next five years, I don't think it will get any less competitive.

I think yhat the AFC North is one of the toughest divisions but it is rivaled by the AFC South. The Colts and Jags have been proven over the past few years and the Titans are an up and coming team. I guess the Texans are the equivilant to the AFCN's Browns.

I agree, AFC South is like the North, and they are all improving, even the texans
