you would think he could witness the birth and spend plenty of time with the child at home after practice. that is if he didnt trade in his old maid babys momma for a newer model as soon as he knocked her up.

admittedly, this is a distraction:

"You realize when you come here you try to focus your attention and compartmentalize what you're doing so you can give this team what it needs because that's really what you sign up for when you come here," he added. "I'd hate to come in here and have my mind on 100 different things when that's not going to help this team at all. And then when I leave here I deal with that and my team takes ... a step backward."

its such a distraction brady wont even tell the due date (makes me think its the 1st or 2nd sunday of the regular season):

Brady refused to say Monday if his former girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan, is due to give birth to their child before the Jets game.

call it what you want tom, but dont call it this:

So when his phone rings the next time, is Brady anticipating it will be the call telling him that fatherhood is imminent?

"Um," he said with a grin, reluctant to give a hint about the due date.

"It's stuff that's very private to me and it's my family," he said.

way to potentially drag your team down in your predicament.

selfish pompus bastard. (not the kid)

You would think having a child out of wedlock and then having dumped the mother for this year's model would not be something to which you would want to draw attention, but apparently Tom Terrific wants everyone to be aware of every aspect of his wonderfulness by letting the media know what a family guy he is by asking for paternity leave.

What a prince.

"At least its not dogfighting!" - the new metric for excusing virtually any improper conduct.

 Love Thy Neighbor
Pray for him instead of Judging him...Dear Lord,

please allow brady the appropriate time to raise, love and nurture his newfound "family" without football being in the forefront of his mind. please forgive him for the belichick worship and devoting his life to kraft and the patriots and help him see the error of his ways. may he see that the quest for fame, money, poking hot models, and to be viewed as "the best" amongst heathenistic capitalists, is taking his soul down a dark path and please help him see the light. look over him in retirement as he ventures on the new journey called "parenthood".

Amen

This must be worse than I thought. If LITP can't come up with a witty response then no one can put a positive spin on this one. lol

Just kidding , I have faith that you're working on something LITP, but this will be one of your bigger tests. lol

Ha.

Nah, I already voiced my opinion on this particular subject when it first came up all those months ago - don't see much point in going back over it.

For those who want to call Brady a few names and vent I say 'go for it' - its not a big deal in my world and there isn't much need to put a positive spin on it...it is what it is

And at least (fill in whatever embarassing act needs to be spun by a player, his agent, or owner over the next several years) it's not dogfighting!

I, for one, am kind of worried. When Jeff Gordon had his kid (only that one, with his wife, just to clarify the difference) he started racing like he used to again. It focused Gordon.

But Gordon has not had to spend time worrying about how much of his winnings go for palimony to the mom and child support while trying to figure out how to split time between his latest significant other and his kid for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

"Bill has a lot to say," Brady said, "so we'll deal with it when it happens." :chuckle:

Good points all. I retract my comment.darn, i was gonna add that gordon has such a huge lead, he can afford to miss 2-3 weeks and still make the "playoffs".

oh, and gordon actually owns all his trophys, while brady will have more opportunities to see the trophys bob kraft owns as opposed to his own child.

i can definitely see bradys predicament.

shucks

its a boy! its a boy! its a boy!

word is the baby (who was born in california) is fine and healthy but toms vagina is pretty sore. he was not at wednesdays practice and will likely miss fridays preseason game.

i wonder if brigette's live in boyfriend is gonna let tom stay at the house?

exclusive to the fine readers of steelersfever, we are bringing you the first photos of the child:

awwww, how cute. reports are tom is stuck on naming him either stewie or vince.

in other news, lindsay davenport lost her 1st match after giving birth to her 1st child. :hunch:
