Do you have class or not? Here's your chance...

The NE Patriots beat us. And they beat us, and that's just it. Will we meet again? Maybe...Try to take the high road...

Is this post addressed to Pats fans?

Tight game tonight - but your playcalling 2nd half killed you - not Randle El and his brain freeze play.
Pounding the ball on 1st and 2nd down everytime might work against weak teams but you will get found out every time against decent opposition.

Im enjoying this alot - everyone here saying the pats are history..well History came back and bit you in the ass tonight.

Im sure the Steelers will make the playoffs - but the Patriots are still the best team in football - we are still playing horrible football in some aspects - ST is truly awful again.

We will improve through the season - Im guessing the Steelesr will have time to design a plan B in that time also.

GO PATS

Good game tonight. Very disappointed. It was a good game, but there were some plays and things I was not pleased with. Randle El being one of them. It wasn't all his fault. Still not happy about his performance. Tom Brady played great in the second half. Hoping to meet you guys in the playoffs.

Tom Brady is the best quarteback in the leauge, steelers failed to pressure him and he beat us.
Although he did have help from El, the steelers offensive line, and our kickoff coverage team.
All in all, good game Patriots, they deserved to win that game,
See you in the playoffs,

I loved this win. Like LITP I've heard nothing but, the Patriots are finished, their fans suck, they lost their coaches and Belichick isn't really any good, Brady's a fag, you have no D, you can't stop the run, one for the thumb, we're going to Detroit, blah blah blah.

Class? You guys show some, and so will we.

I know you were watching this game with us.. El did not lose this game for us. Not even remotely close bro. We win as a team and we lose as a team..plain and simple.

Give it up to Brady, he orchestrated a drive on our defense and won it.

Brady is unique. He isn't the best QB to ever get behind a center in the NFL. He may not even be the best QB in the league right now. But he's got it. Whatever it is, he has it. And when he's got it going, it's beautiful to watch.

oh no he lost it, he keeps the ball we put at least another td or a field goal on the board and the game is over.

The game is not over. El did not lose this game for us. Ben made mistakes, Willie hit some wrong holes, the OL was getting beaten. To put this long soley on El means you must not have been watching the same game I was.

Sure he made some mistakes, there is no doubt about it, but he didnt lose the game for us.

You're being a little hard on him
EL does make good plays

Koopa
09-26-2005, 12:03 AM
yeah he makes good plays but then he comes back and makes 2 bad plays to out do the good ones. everytime i see him play he wants to run before he catches the ball, only if he'd stop doing that he'd be badass, he drops to much and he made a boneheaded mistake.

BlitzburghRockCity

Do you think we could have won the first 2 games without El ?? He had alot of big plays for us, first down catches, stretching the field, blocking etc. El is a part of this offense that we need, right now he's our stretch the field guy..he had 2 good games, and this one left something to be desired from him yes. But dont hang him solely for it!

yeah i know we would've won, it was the titans and the texans. wilson is the same kinda player he is, but wilson seems smarter not lookin to run before he has the ball in his hands. i know it ain't soley his fault but he's the biggest reason we lost this one game, and since we take it one game at a time this was the only game that matters right now.

Lets stop beating around the bush. Anyone who thinks that one play lost you the game, either doesn't understand football, or can't admit the best team won today. It's like anyone who says we lost to you last year because Dillion didn't play. Bullshit. You beat us. You were the better team that day.

Yep, now thats the hardwork Ive come to know and respect  YOu guys deserved to celebrate the win, you earned it. We had our chances to put you away several times, but we continually shot ourselves in the foot, or you guys made good plays.

You earned the win, congrats !!!

Sorry I'm late, SD and NYG crowd wouldn't leave...anyways, wanted to sound off and show the NE guys that we are stand up around here. I can't fault the PATS at all. Only concern for them was again turnovers and penalties although it didn't hurt them this week, it may come back to be a thorn, no? As for us, man if we can't solidfy our middle D against the pats they will run the back and crossings all day long. While blitz pick up was shaky at best, I think it cast a light on the fact that our time of poss. is down from last year and our guys just might be getting worn against better scheme team like the pats.(by scheme I am refering to their knack for having more than 5 different looking rush styles). Props again to Tom Brady. Perfect in the 4th. Might be answering the Bill B/Brady chicken/egg thing. With only a few afternoon games today, we were a little empty with NE fans for this game? We are usually pretty packed from what they say. 4th quarter was scary quiet from the kitchen I must say. Thanks for giving us the measuring stick. Will adjust my power rankings shortly.

The Pats/Steelers games over the past few seasons have been absolute slugfests on both sides of the ball. Both teams play a similar style, and match up closely personel wise. After a few one-sided games, it was nice to finally see a tight game between these teams.

Much as I'd like to see the Pats get an easier schedule, I have to admit I'm glad we've had the chance to see the Steelers so much over the past few years. This is developing into a nice rivalry, with plenty of hate (as well as plenty of respect) on both sides. Brady and Rothlesberger both have many years of greatness ahead of them. I'd like nothing better than to see them continue to go up against each other for the next 10 years.

I agree. Ben going up against Brady already 3 times in his career is priceless. Add Manning later this year and the learning curve continues to grow. For those watching Ben/Brady...Brady 50 w's out of 65 games wasn't it? Ben something like 16 out of 18 or so?

Hats off to the Pats. Our kick coverage sucked. They stopped our ground game. Where was Troy? I though that Ben was at his most dangerous when he is on the run, which is why teams stopped blitzing us? Lucky for us we forced two turnovers inside our ten,or who knows what the final outcome may have been like. We had them beat for 3 quarters, and then fell apart. Brady was Brady, and we need to get past this team. I dont want to become the next Colts. See Ya in the playoffs.

Did you actually think either pats poster would be classy?

you seen the results. And no one play didn't lose the game.

A bad field goal call
A bonehead toss by El
and some missing minutes at the end

all three contributed.

Only blind mice can dispute this.

So yes the Pats played better, good enough to win.

But your only fooling yourself if you think that the pats are just the better team and thats all there is to it. Steelers proved they can now go head to head. Come playoffs we will see next time which way the ball bounces. I have a strong feeling it will bounce our way. But we shall have to see huh ? ?

First up Slash,

REPLY to the thread we are having a little discussion on your cry-baby ways -

Secondly, the gist of your post is absolutely hilarious - you comfort yourself with the excuses that your players made bone head plays against INJURY RIDDLED opposition in YOUR HOUSE.......

So Head Coach Slash...how are we going to turn this round for when we next meet?

Well Team, what we are going to do is......"see which way the ball bounces...."

Ermm is that it Coach Slash?

Yeah, thats it - we are clearly better than them patsies - just keep getting unlucky - so everyone lets just SEE WHICH WAY THE BALL BOUNCES.

Cheers

I wasn't the one who keeps bringing the military into it - and the degree of self-satisafaction you derive for being part of it is quite frankly nauseating.

How about you let someone else make those comments - I reckon your arms are way to busy being wrapped around Slash's waist to be patting yourself on the back so often.

Hey Slash,

Even with all the links I posted you still didnt address the points I made properly - look at the posts you made before the game - where you invited me back to the forum to have a 'party' after the game.
