The Steelers traded for cornerback/return specialist Allen Rossum on Saturday, and in getting him got a two for one deal ? a player who can bring excitement to the team and a huge Steelers fan as well.
"My wife went crazy because she is a humungous Steelers fan," :tt02: said Rossum of his wife Angela, who is originally from Erie, Pa. "She was totally excited. She was calling people even before the deal went down. I am glad the deal went through.
"I am happy to have the Terrible Towels on my side for a change instead of them coming over wherever I am playing and taking over the stadium." :tt02:
Rossum, who came to the Steelers from the Atlanta Falcons, is excited about his new home and looking forward to playing at Heinz Field.
"Who would not want to play in this stadium or for these fans or this team?" :tt02: said Rossum. "There is a lot of history here."
