After reading this forum for a long time, I'm very happy to register and communicate with all of the Steeler Nation. I was born and raised in the Burgh and moved to Port Charlotte, Fl about 10 years ago. I'm an Allderdice grad(1989). I had a couple of classes with Curtis Martin back then. Before I had Direct TV when I first moved down here, I was worried that I wouldnt be able to watch my Stillers on TV every week. After I did some research, I found out my little town had 2 Steeler bars that bring in at least 100 people for the games. I asked the owner of one of the bars why he always had the Steeler games on in the main bar with the biggest TV. I thought maybe he was from the area. He said no, I'm from New York, die hard Giants fan, but the Steeler fans drink and eat the most.lol I met alot of new friends with the same things in common through watching Steeler games there. Now I have parties at my house for the games and usually have 10 to 20 people over. So when the Steelers play I feel like I'm in Pittsburgh with better weather! Nothing will ever take the place of the good people and great food of the Burgh though. I can still taste a slice of Aiello's pizza or a Primanti's sandwich if I imagine hard enough. Enough rambling.
