Hey guys -
I just recently moved to the Burgh from DC but have been married to a Steelers nut for 7 years and have been converted. We actually drove to Cleveland for last weekend's game, and my gift to my wife for her 30th birthday is tickets to the game this weekend against Buffalo.
As such - I'm ready to make the real commitment - it's time to buy a jersey. I played center in highschool and college, and have thought of nothing but a Mike Webster jersey. I know the Steelers don't retire numbers, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone wearing a Webster jersey - is there any stigma about it? I know he had a hard time later in life after leaving the game, but whenever I think of a Steeler offensive lineman, he's what comes to mind.
Any thoughts?
