We have a very good football team. We lost to the defending champs, with one second remaining on the clock. actually -51 minutes if you want to be technical. Ben had a terrible day throwing the football, after the injury. He was pressured, but even when he had time to throw, and guys open, he just couldn`t connect. Our defense was on the field way to long, and they were worn out it seemed. If Ben would have completed any third down passes, we probably would have won the game! On third down he was at his worst, we needed these to keep drives alive, run time off the clock, and keep our defense rested. Its not all Bens fault, El had an off day. We lost the game on the line of scrimmage late in the game, on both sides of the ball. But we know that this is usually one of our strength , control the line of scrimmage. Our play calling was a little ill at times, and sometimes it was just execution.
We lost with one second to play. To the defending Superbowl champs. And we played terrible, the second half of the game. Imagine if we would have put four good quarters together. The Pats team is not as dominating as they once were. We will not have a problem with them later in the post season. Granted, Brady is the best qb, in the league. And BB is probably the most prepared coach in the league. They will be dethrowned this year by us. After this loss, we will not take them litely in the postseason. I`m not predicting blowout, I`m just saying we our destined to win it. We were riding just a little to high. Long regular season win streak and all. This past week was just a wake up call. I`m glad the Pats feel they are on top of the world still. We will prove that there not.

Don`t be discouraged fans. We have a great football team!

AFC championship game this season Pittsburgh 33 Pats 27. Slug fest. El gets his revenge with two TD`s. One receiving one returning.

Superbowl in Detroit the battle of P.A. Steelers 27 Philly 13 who else but the Eagles can win the minor leagues division.

To get discouraged this early in the season just wouldnt seem right. We played a very bad game in the second half and definately blew a few chances to score in the first half..yet we still only lost by a last second FG. So take heart black n gold faithful, we're just gettin started!!

If ARE's lateral woulda worked,we'd probally be 3-0.But it didn't work...but it's not like we are 1-2.I am satisfied with 2-1.I didn't expect to go 16-0...the Pats are one of the teams I was able to see us losing to...in the regular season.

But in the Playoffs I think we can beat anyone who plays us.I pitty the fool that must play the Steelers after this loss. We'll be more focused.I think this loss was a good thing...everyone's head is level again.Nobody can feel "invincible" anymore.

If this, if that, if blah blah blah we would have won. If the Patriots hadn't left the locker room at the end of half time you would have won to.

there are reasons why the steelers lost. a forum called "steelers fever" dont you think they are going to get talked about? just because a team beats another team does not mean they are better then them, if thats the case the panthers own the pats.

HW has been waiting since the offseason when the schedule was announced to talk trash after this game. Highlight of his year so far.

Enjoy it while you can, that's all Im gonna say on it.

You lost because you lost the battle in the trenches allowing Brady The Great to out maneuver you.

The same thing happened in the playoff game when our line stuffed the bus on 4th and one. You have to have good infantry first and foremost.

God you're a genius! Maybe if you're lucky BB will pick you up as his new coordinator!

who are you comparing to infantry? "brady the great?" if you can tell me right now that there is no way in hell hardword, that the steelers could of won.... then i will say that this thread, website, rest of the season is pointless. but you cant, and if you do then your just abother bandwagon pats fan on a high horse.

Using my limited understanding of military personel I would guess the infantry to be the O-line and D-line.

If it makes you feel any better - the Steelers COULD have won - unfortunately then dont do a Superbowl for 'could have's'

Cheers

The thread is intended to get everyone fired up and to stay positive after a hard fought , close loss. Were we suppose to mope around and say" Wow, the Pats beat us, we will never win another game"? We never planned on going undefeated. We are diehards here, I like playing the roll of getting everyone fired up. I`m like a cheerleader, with hairy legs. LOL LOL LOL

well then the "infantry" (o-line) got slaughtered!! the D-line did pretty good though. the pats just dominated the clock and wore them out.
