I just wanted to say what a great time my wife and I had in Pittsburgh for the Pats game.
That was our first time to Pittsburgh. I have seen the Steelers play Denver 2 times but being there at Heinz Field was fantastic!!! Jerome Bettis came over to where we were standing before the game and shook our hands and said hi so that was very cool of him. What a classy guy. We also took a tour of Heinz and got to see the locker rooms.!
So I say thanks Pittsburgh. Hope to see it again in a few years.

How did you get on the sidelines? Locker room?

We showed up about 2 hours before the game and asked if we could stand down and take a few pictures. the guy said 'sure, help yourself', which was really cool because they didnt let me do that in Denver. We stayed there for aobut 1.5 hours taking pics and watching Ben and Ward warm up. That was very cool.
Then a lady with her young son showed up and I offered my space so they could see better.
She asked some guy on the field if she could meet Ben. He asked around and I saw him talking to Bettis and then he came over and shook a bunch of hands and such!

Heinz field has tours on monday and friday (look on the website for info) at 10am for $6.
The locker room is the first place he took us! That was sooooo cool!!! We also got to check out the media suites and the box seats and I got to stand on the field and take a pic with the goal post....I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it....hehe

You're right guilo, Jerome is the ultimate in class and has been since his years at ND. Just a great guy. Isn't Pittsburgh great? So much fun and the cool folks everywhere. Plus, it's actually a really pretty city. I have to stop myself when I go off about it here in Philly because nobody believes me, which is fine because I don't want it to get too trendy... Anyways, welcome aboard.

I have traveled through the Burgh but haven't had the pleasure of stopping to experience the Steel city. I've been fortunate to see the Steelers play on the road but never at Heinz field due to being in the Air Force. Wish I could've been in your shoes for that experience. The closest i've came to shaking a player's hand or meeting one was when I saw the BUS in a nightclub in Washington DC. I really need to plan a trip there real soon.
