Well, at least she finally had the guts to admit it she was lying and cheating all these years. Boy, she must feel like shit right now. Her entire legacy and all that she worked for is tarnished. People looked up to her as a hero. What an absolute disgrace. Just another casualty in a line of athletes who wanted more than they could handle.

So to all the novice track stars out there, DON'T be like Marion Jones.

Unlike some male baseball player who plays for a west coast baseball team. :wink02:

She screwed up. She came clean. Her records and accomplishments are tarnished, but hats off to her for finally coming clean.

*Puts hat back on*

And now she feels she should not be punished for lying about steroids and check fraud...

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) -- Former Olympic champion Marion Jones says she has been punished enough and should not have to go to prison for lying about steroids and check fraud.

Hear that sound? That's my sympathy going out the window.

Oh, and I believe she has gotten no leeway. She has 6 months in the clink. Tough luck, Marion.

Nice to see a 'big name' actually pay for a crime. It doesn't happen nearly enough.
