Didn't look to me that Pezzy did anything. Sent the other guys to fight and he just watched.

Agreed. Team rivalries is no reason to fight in a public place. Once outside the lines, everyone should be a fellow American.

The thing that kills me is, someone lights up a joint and gets half a season, but another guy mugs someone in a casino, gang-beats him and steals his jewelry and wallet, and gets a fine?

Ask first, if the victim wasn't a football player, what would happen? And then ask, why is it different, that the victim is a football player? From all accounts, Jones was trying to be friendly and just get along.

Porter is clearly wrong.
