View Full Version : Manicures, Pedicures, and Growing Flowers?

I'm sure some of you were watching when Santonio and Hines were shown getting manicures and pedicures to get ready for the Ravens game. And then, ESPN showed Polamalu's interests other than football (growing flowers and playing piano). And while that's fine, is that how we really want to present some of our best players?? Come on, we're the blue-collar tough-guy STEELERS! Well, the Steelers players should do whatever it takes to win, and if manicures help, then why not do it.

I stand corrected.

Troy, keep on growing those flowers, cuz it helps you force fumbles.

Santonio, keep on getting those manicures, b/c it helps you catch touchdowns!!

Go Steelers!!!

I can see it now - - all of the opposition teams are going to be importing manicurists and pedicurists for the upcoming weeks....

Hey, ballet lessons didn't do Lynn Swann any harm and he was ridiculed, too....

If it works, don't knock it.....

And despite the manicures, Hines Ward throws a damn good block

What is a recievers two most valuable assets? His hands and his feet. You gotta take care of both, and the best way to do is a pedicures and manicures.

And actually, I like the fact that Polamalu plays piano and grows flowers in his spare time. I'd rather have him be gentle person off the field and fierce on it that fierce on and off the field. Those that are fierce off the field often are in trouble with the law, a la the Rams player who beat his wife after last week's loss to the Browns.

Lynn Swan took up ballet. He use to make the prettiest catches while leaping in the air.

I can tell ya - a mani and a pedi make you feel great! There are a lot of manly men who come into the salon I frequent to get their nails and toes done, but they don't get painted! A good salon pedi can relax you beyond words and taking care of those tootsies is very important, especially when you are in a profession where you are on your feet - good for Hines and Santo!

I like seeing what our Steelers do for relaxation and enjoyment in their private time - take off those unis and they're normal people just like the rest of us!

They could hold celebrity knitting competitions for all I care. As long as Hines keeps demoralizing opponents with bonecrushing blocks, and Santonio keeps being our big play guy.

Hines Ward is a joy to watch, and I can see myself telling my kid's about him when he comes back for our 100th anniversary team.

"Kid's, you see that smiley guy, number 86? He is the toughest and most physical receiver I have ever seen, and he truly enjoyed the game the way it should be."

Exactly, rather have a gardener pianist who can show up to every practice, every game and give it his all rather than some playboy gangsta wannabe who goes out to celebrate a loss and ends up getting involved in the shooting of a bouncer ala: :leap: Jones or spends his off season setting up coke deals or doing double homicides like some other guys we may care to mention!

I thought that segment was hilarious! Something tells me Santonio never had a pedicure before he met Hines Ward!! They both were cute as a button getting their tootsies soaked!!
