Pittsburgh linebacker Farrior says he'll be looking for Browns tight end

Asked about the play during a conference call, Farrior said, ''Last year when he took the cheap shot? There's no bad blood. It's part of football. It was a little dirty hit, but I don't really hold grudges against anybody. I leave all that stuff on the field.

''But he better have his head on a swivel, though. Every time we go up against those guys, I'll be looking for him.''

He called it a cheap shot and winslow got fined for it. Winslow said he was sorry for the late hit and he was in the motion of the tackle and could not stop the motion. so be it . But now Farrior is head hunting?

If it is smack, it is smack and leave it at that.

But if Winslow is hut I say it is premeditated assualt and the commish should handle it as shuch so should the local prosecutor if he has the balls to do so.

This sport is bad enough with injuries, but making it know you out to get someone is uncalled for.

Just my opinion, Take it for what it is worth.

Ok ok they are the only cheerleaders I can find.:flap::cheers::cheers:

Don't get your dawg shorts in an uproar, TBD. This is old news and nothing but smack. Farrior didn't go after Winslow in Game #1 and though Farrior is known to hit hard, he isn't a cheap shot artist. Quite honestly, though, if Farrior put the beat down on Winslow, I really wouldn't mind. Winslow is a total punk, imho, and doesn't have one iota of the class his father showed on the field, God rest his soul.

Premeditated? Prosecuted?

This is football, not figure skating.

I seen a documentary on E:60 the other day, well actually recorded it, about Kellen Winslow Jr. I have always disliked the guy for his antics, especially him saying he was a F****** "soldier", and then cheap shotting Farrior. But, my perspective has changed a little bit. He seems to be growing up, not being as big of a punk. That motorcycle accident made his life flash before his eyes; even so for Ben. They both realized they are not invincible after their accidents. All in all, I still hope we lay his a$$ out. I don't like him that much more.

I think that Winslow has a reputation around the league for letting smack talk get to him. He's really talented, but that plus one hard wallop early means he WILL have his head on a swivel now. If it gets us one drop, it was worth it.

So does this mean that Bart Scott will be arrested and tried for threatening to "kill" Hines? Harmless smack talk, nothing more.

it would be wise for farrior to keep an eye on winslow every time they line up because winslow is actually a pretty good tight end.

here ya go... relive the moment.

With Winslow being such a big part of the game plan, he better keep his head on a swivel. Because our defense is going to look to hit him hard. Not cheap, but he's gonna get smashed.

But what you dont understand is that Farrior will get him with a legal hit. Farrior is a clean player, rarely penalized if ever. Winslow is a total douchebag

You got some seroius problems if you are trying to defend Winslow

Don't know why I thought he was. :dang: I still stand by what I said - Kellen, Sr. had class on the field, unlike his son.

If you watch the clip, it proves KW is full of sh**. Personally, I don't have a problem with the hit though....but, then again, it wasn't me who got hit. "Go get 'em James!" :wink02:

What about Bart Scott threatening Hines Wards life? Ward claimed it, and Scott confirmed it and repeated it.

I don't know about you guys, but if a Balitimore Raven threatens your life, I'd take that threat seriously.

He didn't.

This was already figured out... look above like three posts... but why would someone as skilled as you in the knowledge of football and quantum physics have to read the WHOLE thread. :wink02:

Yes... but in quantum physics... wouldn't the thread be necessarily different depending on much part of the multiverse he is in?:hunch:

:toofunny:

i think hines earned that captains jersey for the rest of his career as a steeler. im sure that hit on scott was for ben and i hope he earholes terrel suggcks next.

as far as what farrior said... "keep your head on a swivel" is one of the hugest cliches in football. everybody says it. theres no dirty connotation.

no different than a boxer telling his opponent "put up your dukes" or "guard your grill, nuckle up".

well duh, thats the name of the game (or as emmit would say... "well duh, thats how we named the game")

BS, Winslow purposely hit Farrior last season. He wasn't going through no motion to make a tackle! Quit sticking up for the dork.

Pot: James Farrior's smack talk on Kellen Winslow, Jr.

Kettle: Daven Holly's smack talk on Hines Ward.

This is the NFL - smack talk between players is a part of the game.

the ravens act as dirty as they play.. so he'd probably use a knife.

I don't know. Bart Scott came out of nowhere to suddenly being a classless piece of human garbage in just a few years under the tutelage of Killer Ray. Why wouldn't he take the next step down the path to murder?
