View Full Version : Ben's Injury

That was as BS of a shot on a QB as you can get. The ball was clearly gone, and Suggs pulled a classes move in driving Ben to the ground. Wanting to play hard is one thing, but he was looking for cheap revenge from week 2. >:(
So far, Ben is in a local Hospital getting xrays, etc. on his sternum. But he'll have nearly 3 weeks to heal up. So knock on wood, he should be ok.

I swear ima go crazy thinkin about Big Ben not playin for the next few weeks. Seems they have such great chemistry, plus the great vibe that Ben gives on the field...breaks me down...LOL....well countdown starts now for Big Bens return!....:P

He'll be ready for the playoffs..and while i wish he was playing this weekend, I really dont want him taking a hit and landing on that cold hard astro turf at rich stadium.
I want us to win badly this weekend, and go 15-1..but his health is more important, as is Jeromes. but with people like staley, chad scott, and kendrell getting more reps this week, along w/ maddox..that can only benefit us if we need them in the playoffs.
I just dont wanna lose the momentum we've gained to this point though

From Peter King @ si.com:
MMQBTE: Could you have played in the game if you had to?
Roethlisberger: Yeah. I threw before the game, but we just decided it would be smarter because it wasn't like a playoff game for us.
MMQBTE: Will you take a shot if you have to?
Roethlisberger: I don't think I'll need it. Today I'd probably have taken one, just to be safe.
Sounds like he is doing much better, at least it isn't a hamstring. Those things seem to linger a little longer than fans like.
