im sure m. tirico (and a dozen other game callers) have been sitting on that line all year.

seconds before half bironas is up to kick a fg. he misses. but wait.... mike shanahan called a TO a split 2nd before.

on the 2nd attempt r. bironas splits the uprights with a 56 yarder.

Awesome, I wasnt watching the game but I was waiting for this to happen.

with all the talk of a potential rule change to prevent the tactic of "icing the kicker", many said the tactic would quickly end as soon as it backfired on a coach. at this point, shanahan really needs to lose this game before i think coaches will even think twice about it.

I think it will stop when the kicker misses the original "iced" FG and makes the next one, to win the game.
