The nation watched as the rain came down
For Monday Night Football played in Steel Town

Lightning and thunder delayed the beginning
Of a game it appeared no one would be winning

The Dolphins came to Pittsburgh 0-10
If we had anything to say they would lose again

Joey Porter made his presence in this homecoming known
But neither team had luck getting near the end zone

A good part of this game was special teams for once
Covering returns and kicking good punts

The game went on with zeros on the board
As the field got worse and the rain poured

The Steelers made history with this rainy slop fest
With the lowest scoring game in a Monday night contest

Ben and the guys engineered a game winning drive
We were nearing the end zone - we were still alive

It came down to a field goal - Jeff Reed would be the hero
17 seconds till the clock ticked to zero

It wasn't pretty but a win is a win
And the preparation for the Bengals must begin

We beat them at their house earlier this year
Now they come to Pittsburgh so it's "Who Dey" we'll hear

"We Dey" is all we ever have to say
So bring it on Bengals - we're ready to play!

Thank you. Yes I wrote it. I have been writing Steelers poems after games for years. I put them up here to share with my fellow Steelers family.

I have to disagree on the liking the outcome though lol
