This one is a toughie. I'd have to split it in two between Hines and the Steelers D. The Steelers OL also showed up and had a pretty good performance! :tt02::tt02:

Hines for me, and the Grounds Crew for improving the field

Edman

Hines Ward
The Defense
The groundkeeping crew.

And how about this for a surprise. The Offensive Line. Ben was barely touched and opened up some room for Willie(who unfortunately proceeded to fumble:shake02:).

I would give it to hines, just because he had a great game, and so he could keep it to commemmorate his new steelers record!

Hines and the D. i think we lose this game if either play sub par.

Hines for sure, he stepped up tonight making crazy clutch catches.

Yep.

Hines had a great game.

O line was pretty good. The D held tight. But Hines just stepped out tonight.

Gotta give it to him!

My 3 finalist are:
#1-Hines Ward for 2 td's and the franchise record.
#2-Defense holding bengals powerful offense to only 10 points
#3-Hey the o-line didnt give up any sacks last night!

Hines was the man last night, but the D was simply outstanding - allowing just 3 points off 4 turnovers in their own territory, hassled Caution all night (completed just 43% of his passes) and completely shut down the Bungles' O after allowing a TD on their opening drive. They get my game ball.

Hines for sure, he stepped up tonight making crazy clutch catches.

Hines has played out of his mind the last two games. He pretty much caught everything thrown his way in those two games in miserable conditions.

The D definetely deserves alot of credit also for the way they backed up the O on those turnovers!!

Ready for this one?

Max Starks! He really looked good on the left side. So good I think we should consider moving Smith to RT when he comes back.

Hines Ward, outstanding game plus sets a new Steelers record for most TD catches in a career.

My game ball goes to the D. They definitely kept us in the game last night.

LOL....I dont know if I give him the game ball...but I did see him swing that big butt of his around and knock a player over with a hip-shot!!

Hines gets my game ball...with an honorable mention to Tyrone Carter...who was so far into TJ's head last night that he had to wash earwax out of his hair after the game.

Hines gets game balls all the time. I like to pass mine out for other things like "most improved", and he definitely looked really comfortable in there. There were still some missed assignments, and the OL is far from perfect, but I'm feeling a lot better about next week. We need excellent play from sources we don't usually receive it from (as well as great play from "the usual suspects") if we are going to beat the Pats next week.

Mine goes to the O-Line (No sacks!) and the D (Man, they had TJ, Chad and Cartoon all whining like lil babies)

i cant give it to the O-line because it didn't seem like the bengals knew what they were doing when they blitzed.. although it was great pickup it doesn't mean much until it comes against a great blizting team.... Hines gets the game ball!!

I haven't read all three pages of this thread so sorry if someone beat me to this. But....

I would give the game ball to Willie Parker. Someone from the O-line would recover the resultant fumble and that's who gets the game ball :)

seriously though, no disrespect to Parker. I still love him.

my game ball goes to Lebeau. The Steelers turned the ball over 4 times and a couple were in their own territory...they gave up 10 points and effectively shut down Palmer and company.

Hines, of course. Our defense has been playing well all year. It's not every day a wide reciever has 11 receptions and breaks their teams record for touchdown receptions.

I can't really decide because

Offense:
-Hines Ward for 2 TD catches and breaking a record
-Ben for scoring a TD and for getting us back into the game
-O-line for blocking-NO sacks
-Heath for making that amazing catch
-Cedrick for stepping up

Defense:
-stopping the Bengals
-I think the 1st Steeler to try and tackle someone actually stopped them everytime

Special Teams:
-giving the Bengals horrible field positions
-Carey Davis for recovering the fumble

I saw the entire Steelers team recieves the game ball maybe except for Parker who fumbled 4 times and led to 3 points

As I said before.....Hines!

11 receptions and 2 touchdowns.........and he didn't do it to get the record, he did it to get the WIN! No cheesy Fuure HOF jacket, no theatrics, no preplanned celebration........just that huge smile that we've all become accustomed to seeing, whether he nails it or he gets hit. That's pure Hines. Congrats, Hines! Thank God you're a Steeler!
