Your number of posts is probably the # of years you have been a Patriot fan.

You have a great team. Not the greatest ever, but a great one. Now get lost.

You have to give the Patriots their props. Those guys are prepared. It appears as though Brady knows exactly where we're going to be. Someone has definitely done their homework.

The Patriots passing game was the only thing that worked for NE tonight. Don't scoff, Pats fan.

You guys won fair and square. You guys made the big plays. We didn't.

I don't want to be too hard on the D they had their work cut out for them. The two big play where AS got beat had to deflate them a little.
I was just as disappointed in the poor pass rush. They came close a few times but thats not enough against Brady. We needed more sacks. The line was a non factor.

On the lateral play where were they? The first exchange was bad they should have had time to disrupt the play and get a turnover.

Well, as they say good coverage creates sacks, good pressure creates interceptions. Our pressure was good overall, but as you said we need to actually pierce their O-Line. I had to watch the game with a Pats fan who doesn't really know anything about football, and even he noticed (during much taunting) how Brady would get rushed, but was hardly ever in real danger of getting taken down. When a guy has ice-water in his veins, I agree that getting pressure isn't enough.

That "trick" play was so frustrating. I'm an Anthony Smith fan, but we really missed the experience of Ryan Clark and Polamalu today. But like Coach Tomlin, I'm not comfortable pinning our loss on injuries (it was so tempting...my friends were even blaming the inexperience of Pittsburgh's safeties, just couldn't give in and put it all on injures :dang:). We'll get them later this year.

maybe next time we will take notes from the eagles and ravens games and play the receivers rough coming off the line of scrimmage.

I was wondering why we didn't do much press coverage. Anyone have any ideas? I guess Ike got beat a couple times pressing Moss and we abandoned it? Not sure, but that seemed like one of the things everyone on the board was humming about going into the game, hard to believe LeBeau and Tomlin didn't think about it. There's surely some good reason we opted into giving such a luxurious cushion throughout the game.

If Brady ever goes down (other than on one of his teammates), the Pats would be in big time deep shit.

We did play without our two starting safeties but the Pats are a great team. But so were the 1980 USSR hockey team.
