View Full Version : We need some O-Linemen, and a legit WR.

Outside of Ward, Holmes, and maybe Heath Miller, none of the Steelers recievers scare anybody. Ward isn't getting any younger, and we can't rely just on Holmes. We need another WR who the opposition will respect, and who Ben can trust.
The Steelers also need to draft quite a few O-Linemen. I believe you guys already get the idea.
Thus ends my proposition: Steelers need to go Offense next draft.

our receivers arent as bad as you think.. wilson has come through this year every time he has been called upon... but he only seems to get playing time when holmes goes down. washington is still young and developing, but will probably never be a star. holmes and miller are the future.. basically, every team cant have a fitzgerald-boldin or harrison-wayne combination... we need an oline to give the receivers enough time to get open and so that we dont have to keep miller in to block more than run routes.

I like our receivers. I think we need a strong big back to help the line. I think the o line is our biggest weakness. Bettis used to help because when the 4th came around he would just move the pile and dominate. He scared other coaches. Coaches are scare of FWP's speed, but you just have to contain him. If the line doesn't create the hole, he's not moving anybody.

well lets see maybe we SHOULD HAVE KEPT BURRESS ?:dang: ALTHOUGH i think holmes wasnt 100 % nate has butterfingers we need a legit jump ball /deep threat and another O- LINE PLAYER faneca needs to come back next year imo ! if not we could have serious probs i think if troy was playing that would have helped alot aswell ! 3 thing that didnt go our way that changed the game a pass from ben to holmes that was short and the 4 th a goal we didnt make and the 2 perfect passes nate washington dropped that forced us to punt all three of those went for ball exchange to the pats in turn they scored :jawdrop:

Keeping Burress wasn't the answer. He hated it in Pittsburgh and was leaving regardless of what Steelers managment wanted to do.
While here, he bitched about not getting the ball enough. However he refused to run the fade pattern, alligator armed it many times, didn't want to go over the middle, and couldn't time his jumps for crap. He basicly have little to no effort IMHO. He also didn't block.
In New York, I have watched him do just about all this, though he still isn't big on the fade...which you would think he'd love with his height.

That's like blaming your sailboat because there is no wind. Blame your car because you have no wheels.
Legit WR?!!!! Let's just start with a line. We don't need to waste drafts and money on guys who can catch.
