Anyone hear this yet? Roger Clemens is included in the Mitchell MLB steroid report for using performance enhancers... Obviously a lot of people suspected that but dang... Thoughts? I can't wait to hear more names.

NEW YORK (AP) - Seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens and Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte were the first names to emerge Thursday from the Mitchell report.

And let the punishmnet fit the crime. If criminal charges are brought, as is the case with Barry Bonds, and they are found guilty, then the punishment should be being banned from the HOF and any significant records should be stripped.

If no charges are brought, the water gets a little muddier.

i believe they said that there would be no punishment for any of the players that were named in the report.

If they don't keep Clemens out on the first ballot all the writers need their votes taken away. He's a damn cheater just like Bonds, McGwire and everyone else. It can't be a shock since he was always twinged up early in his career then all of a sudden after leaving Boston he's a horse. They need to just write the last twenty years off as the roid era and move on. There is no way to know who all cheated and who didn't. I'm just glad some prominant pitchers finally got hung out to dry along with the hitters. To Hell with all of them.

I really don't care....Todd Pratt is on the list.....Super Star there...lol This whole Mitchell Report is a joke a complete waste of time....Many on that list were nothing but bums....lol Plus if you people think the NFL is clean then you have your heads in the sand.....I for one don't care what these players do...Its entertainment.....For all this integrity of the game bull crap....That all went out the window when Free Agency became part of Pro Sports....lol I say let them keep roiding up.....

Everyone knows steroids are ramped in football lol. VERY likely much more so than any other sport. The thing is though, no one cares about it in the NFL because the league handles it soooo much better than that circus called Major League Baseball. I get to talk to some media guys once in a while (I am a journalism student and my administrator knows a lot of people in the business, especially in the Pennsylvania / Ohio areas) and know it isn't as uncommon in the Steeler locker room (allegedly) as I would like to believe... :( - None of what I hear means anything to me though unless I see it myself so that is nice. I like to think the Stillirs locker room is clean, even if it isn't

i skimmed thru all 400 pages. it looked like a bunch of words just to make up a big report.. you know like when you were in school and had to do a report and you just put stuff in there to fill the page or word requirement.

Nice. So what do you have to say to the players who play clean? Who don't cheat and don't break the rules?

The Mitchell report is a joke. How are you going to put someone who is on the board of directors of the Boston Red Sox in charge of this so called investigation??? Big surprise theres not any Red Sox on the list.

You better wake up and smell the coffee ESPN is brewing for you. Whats it going to take for you guys to realize that ESPN is controlling everthing sports??? 3 or 4 more Patsie SB's and Blowsox World series?? How about the Celtics in first place? I know, I'm crazy and this is all just a coincidence. Right?

i wouldnt say they are controlling everything sports.. i mean they arent the acutal ones that are on the field or court playing.. the celtics got better when they got garnett. you cant deny with their three they are very good. so i dont see how espn had anything to do with that? all espn does is report whats going on in the world of sports.. albeit too much pats coverage, but they are the topic of the day.last time i checked espn doesnt own the pats, soxs or celtics.

If it's a joke Roger Clemens should be on TV threatening to sue everyone if he didn't do it. He's not, that pretty much tells you he's guilty just like half the players out there. We'll see if he gets slammed as bad as Bonds and McGwire.

TackleMeBen

they know they did it.. but they arent going to come out and say yeah i did steroids... and i was very surprised that there were some names left out. like for example brady anderson...i bet he was doing them to be as big as he was.

Funny thing, half the Boston Red Sox roster from past and present World Series victories are on the report.

Even the baseball team up there cheats. Rodney Harrison probably supplied them. Go figure.
