View Full Version : What ever happened to sacking the quarterback?

I really think the title "Blitzburgh" should be stripped from all Steeler commentary. I would venture to guess we are somewhere around -25 in the sack/sacked ratio. Is Dicky getting to old, or is Tomlin phasing in the Burgh 2? Something needs to be done.

I think it mite be time to building a 4-3 if the draft presents some good dl!

I think due to alot of deffensive injuries is the reason our sacks are down this year.

Yeah, we haven't got a blitz in 2 games

1 guy gets 4 sacks an interception and creates 2 fumbles in 1 game and we as a team can't get 2 in game since?? maybe details aren't exact but close enough.. sometimes it SEEMS like we only have 1 guy playin de lately..

everyone knows the patriots are pretty good and aaron smith is done for the season, right?

by no means are the steelers perfect, but plenty of defenses are doing much worse.

Well...., we will run into the same problem--not having suitable personnel to execute the scheme. We(&other teams) have had a lot of success with 3-4. We just need a better LB & DL players to execute it. Whatever we had in 2005 is severely missing now.:banging:
