They just said that the trainers were looking at the x-rays at that they didn't look too promising.

Crap there goes points in my fantasy final. And to make it worse he's got Ben starting for him. I'm down 27 to 0 already.

broken leg.. whoever said that must be smoking... all they said it's an ankle injury and he was done for the night... they said they looked at the x-rays but how in the hell would the announcers know what the x-ray looks like.. they are too far away,,

good news is that it looks like the power running game is back. Davenport is doing well.

Oline blows, defense is proving they're overrated again, kickoff coverage is spotty again as their returner has come close a couple of times...on the bright side? Ben looks great, Holmes looks good, Davenport looks like he can do the job.

im crushed for willie. he boldly said in the preseason he had tomlinson in his sights and by george he was leading the league in carries and yards.

adam schefter reports he loses a chance to earn a 6 figure bonus for leading the league in rushing.

besides that, willie wants to be on the field and win a superbowl as much as anybody.

great point on the turf btw.

DO NOT rely on davenport especially in st. louis... i remember couple years back davenport ran for 178 yards against the rams in the edward jones dome.... he's incredibly inconsistent... dont count on him just yet

This is not good at all. Not only do I lose my fantasy playoff matchup, but man we really needed him for the real playoffs.

Godspeed Willie, get back to form and fastness for next year. :helmet:

My Best goes out to Willie....Not the kind of Xmas he or we wanted. But now we got a reason to fight through the end! Wishes for a speedy recovery....

This blows!!! We will miss him big time.

This just won't affect our running game.....Look for Ben to be on his ass even more than the usual

I bet we give up 7-8 sacks next week against the Raven

Unbelievable. That's just too bad for Willie - I really thought he had a great chance of winning the rushing title. Good luck and get will, Willie!

I think Najeh can do the job, but obviously they will need another back. Gary Russell, come on down!

BTW, I'm now dead-set against installing FieldTurf at Heinz, and want them to keep the grass. That injury more than likely doesn't happen on the real thing.

Maybe someone can ask Parker his opinion - he was the biggest proponent of a non-mud field

Kreider blew out his knee in the muck in the Dolphins game so mud is not risk free

Yes, but the Kreider injury happened in an unusual circumstance. It's a miracle that nobody else was seriously injured that night. On any other day, even with a wet grass field, Parker's injury more often than not ends up as a sprained ankle at worst.

:banging:Damn Willie was going to run big time against the Rams and it ended for him so early in the game. Get well soon WP and props to Najeh for the way he took up the task.
