Sadly I can't post a link until my post count is 25, if someone wants to look at the 08' NFL preview that Sporting News has on their website and post the link, I would be grateful.

This is referring to the article that is posted:

I think it is safe to assume that Woodley could have a breakout year, but Sporting News seems to be banking on it. I know seeing him somewhat reminds me of Adalius Thomas, just a flat out huge linebacker destroying people. I certainly hope that this article is foreshadowing what is to come next year :D

Thanks for the link. I think he could be a great story. I remember the article about him first coming out here & how humble he sounded. As Atlanta Dan and others have said, we may have reached a little for timmons (who still could do great) but I thought Woodley appeared to be a much better value where we got him in the draft and I am really pulling for him!

I have a reoccuring dream where Woodley and Harrison hit Brady at the same instant from opposite directions.

Lemme guess, Harrison hits him low and Woodley high? :P

The linebackers on this team once again show their depth and future greatness.

this is off-topic, but does anyone know who sells that jacket Woodley is wearing in the picture at that link? I love it, but I can't find it online.

It would be great for him to step up and be huge. Aren't Farrior and Foote about 10 years into their careers? Depth at linebacker is critical.

This dude is a beast! I can see him being a major force over his career in the Burgh

Nice read, it does get ya fired up about the guy. Hopefully he beats out Haggans next season if Haggans stays.

I was so pumped up when we drafted him. I was jumping up and down all excited like when we drafted Holmes and Ben. I didn't have that reaction to Timmons.

I hope we keep Haggans. I don't understand why so many people are down on him. I'm afraid somebody will throw big money at him though.

In a year where JP's already gone and Faneca's drama you never heard anything from CH. I always liked him, he was a big part of the SB run.

Question
I don't understand why so many people are down on him.

answer
you never heard anything from CH. . what you see is what you get, from haggans.he's serviceable, but theres no upside. he's just not a game changing playmaker. IMO.....

I think your right... He is an excellent backup, great filler to come in and take care of a position until it is filled by a draft or FA pick.

Problem is, it was never filled.
