I wonder if we can pick up Womack on the cheap to fill in for the front liners...

He is pretty good... but I wonder if his injury bug will scare people off of him... allowing us to pick him up as protection... :hunch:

No way I want him as a starter... but I wouldn't mind having him riding the pine instead of kemoeaueaueuoiaoaieto

With the season the Panthers had..I would like to get Wharton...but yea...I was looking at Womack also. I still have hopes that Kemoeaieauiaoaito can learn the playbook!!

travelle wharton... if we pick him up we could save our second round pick that could be used on a OT/OG

wharton would be good, flozell adams would be a great pickup as well. he's had a good year for the 'boys. the colts have a great line so lilja their starting OG would help us im sure.

Wharton's not on a pretty pace
In a contract season, left tackle Travelle Wharton isn’t putting up the kind of numbers that will get him a big deal – with the Panthers or elsewhere. According to STATS Inc., Wharton has allowed a team-high 6.5 sacks. At the halfway point of the season, Wharton is on pace to shatter the 8.5 sacks he allowed in 2005. It's not unusual for a left tackle to lead a team in sacks allowed because he usually is matched up against the best opposing pass rusher. But Wharton would pretty much have to not allow a sack the rest of the year to have a real strong season.

wharton blew out his knee after 1 start in 06....he gave up 9 sacks in 07.....which is only 1 better than smiths worst year ( 10 in 06 )

heres the link for oline stats if your interested in researching prospects...
