Was watching FSN and Stan and Tunch came up with a couple interesting defensive "fun" facts.

Last Jacksonville game.

-the Steeler defense missed 15 tackles
-The defense allowed the ball carrier to gain 4+ yards after the initial hit on 11 tackles. 44 yards.

In general
- The secondary has gotten beat deep to many times this year - all of them.

But on the bright side--

The record of the last 15 QB's making their first playoff start is 2-13. The two QB who are the exception are Brady and Ben even though Ben's first playoff win was the outing against the Jets which wasn't his best game his rookie year but a win is a win.

Stan did mention Ike should be okay for Saturday. Ike does a weekly piece on Stans show on Thursdays and so it was pretty much a no brainer why he couldn't make it on the show Thursday night.

Yep - and the two games that were the exception should have been losses as well. Brady went 32-52 for 312 and 0 TDs in the "Tuck Rule" game, and the only reason the Jets lost in '04 is because their PK at the time shanked not one, but TWO chip shot FG attempts.

More good news!

We can't miss tackles tonight, especially on Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor.

:coffee: The Steelers shouldnt have even won that game against the Jets. I said that all along and that the Steelers didnt stand a chance the next week vs the Patriots. But you think that maybe Big Ben probably learned from that experience also.
I guess we will just have to wait N see want we.?

That was a heck of a game. I am hoping we are up for the task to day however.

After hearing how fired up Casey Hampton was on ESPN Radio 1250, I have a feeling this team is going to be tackling MUCH better tonight.
