They say that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the results to change. I guess that means that when it comes to being a baseball fan, I;m insane.

I hope Nutting can put a winner on the field, I really do.

"But I also hope that people will look at the amount of change we've gone through over the past year, at the foundation we've built, at the excitement about our future, and that people can begin to believe how deeply committed everyone in the organization is to getting this thing on the right track."

Ummm yeah, I've heard that before. Fans in the Pittsburgh area have heard this same song and dance on more than one occasion in the past. Actually, every year for the last fifteen to be exact. We get to read this B.S. in our papers and hear it on our local news/sports shows every year around this time.

I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, another below .500 season coming on up courtesy of Bob Nutting.

While I think that it's nice of him to give an interview and be all positive, I can't say that it gave me any hope. I'm a fan, win or lose, but I'm not even thinking .500 ball, let alone being competitive.

I'm just about tired of being positive about the Bucs.

I want results and effort from the team before I remotely have any hope that the Pirates will stop the losing. And no, 2 games behind .500 at the end of June is not results.

I'll always support my Bucs, but I have had it with the management.
