of course this is hypothetical, and would never happen, but remember mike tice of the vikings?

after what was a suberb season by our rookie coach, how would you feel if he shamed himself (and the team) and got busted and fined by the league for illegally scalping his tickets and not reporting it on his taxes?

rooney's are so cheap that Tomlin has to sell tickets? :dang:

if tomlin's name was belichick the league would probably fine him about 1% of his yearly salary..

I'm glad it's a moot point as the Rooneys actually put some stock in scruples as far as HC hires go.

He should be fined no doubt.

As a former employee in an NFL Ticket Office, I can tell you that players and coaches do sell their tickets. Every player receives two tickets to the Super Bowl, and if I remember correctly teams in the Super Bowl each receive 10% of the tickets. Along with those tickets comes an agreement form that the owners of the tickets will not scalp them. YEAH RIGHT!!!! I've heard of players making as much as $1200 per ticket (and that's when tickets were $350 each).

What Tice did wrong was not having the right people sell his tickets (LOL)!

If Tomlin did it, I'd be disappointed and think he should be fined. Heck if I was him or any player that didn't want to go I'd give the tickets to charity.

A league fine for sure.

I definately would not go as far as firing him. It's not like he was video taping the opposing team.

I'd be dissapointed that as a Head Coach in the NFL, he didn't go to the Superbowl to evaluate the two best teams in the league, and scout the teams to see what they do and how they perform in a big game.

Then I'd suggest he stop being a dumbarse and at least send a family member or something to the Big Game.
