I think I may be psychic.....
Here is a post from last August....

I keep hearing Bengal Fans talking about their "High Octane Offense"...and how they are ready to take the "next step" this upcoming season. Well, lets look at some revealing stats...the TRUTH is that the Bengals are deficient in SEVERAL areas.
The thing that is truly amazing is that when you compare their stats to ours...You have to shake your head at some of the sportwriters who act like they are an up-and-coming team.
Our stats are better than theirs in most areas...yet pungents unable or unwilling to do their homework overrate the Bungals and talk about us possibly going 7-9.
SOOOO....here are the stats and my prediction BASED on those stats: We will make it to the playoffs this year and the Bengals will disappoint and reclaim their basement room in the celler of the League.


Their Total offense was ranked BEHIND the Steelers...and their running game was ranked #26....Their defense was ranked #30 overall..with a pass defense ranked #31. Their Punt return was ranked #29....Their Kickoff return ranked #29....third down conversion rate was ranked #25

What this shows me is with:
A) an anemic running game
B) a poor third down conversion
C) an awful defense
D) poor special teams....

the Bengals have NO CHANCE to be more than..well....the Bengals. Keep in mind, this is all in the year when the Bengals were considered better than they have been for years.

Now take into consideration that the Bengals will possibly start this season without a legit third reciever...an offensive line that has lost their best lineman....An aging D-line... three LB's that have never played together....a secondary with a very poor strong safety and two CB's with a combined ONE year experience....

There are the facts...YOU do the math.

Randy Moss To The Patriots?

i havent seen or heard anyone mention this but it just seems too obvious. while it made sense that r. moss would be willing to leave oakland he made it official in a recent foxsports interview where he said theres alot of people not happy there and he would be more than willing to play somewhere else.

everyone knows the pats have talked to the raiders. they couldnt have worked out a trade for d. gabriel otherwise. im sure feelers were put out for players like moss or porter. there were rumors they were interested in lelie. the one thing that has hurt them the most this year has been the lack of a deep threat. in fact, moss is such a deep threat, you have to wonder if brady has the armstrength to keep up. sometimes culpepper didnt. moss would have his most accurate passer since his rookie year where he put up 17 td's.

moss wouldnt be that much more than d. branch's asking price. the money saved by not having vinatieri or branch could probably pay for moss in itself. why would a team that is supposedly committed to fielding a playoff team year after year, stockpile money and risk alienating its star player?

i cant see why the patriots wouldnt try to make this happen. the precedent is there when they moved to acquired c. dillon. the passing game now is almost in the same situation the running game was then.

the question is what would it take to pry moss from al davis's hands?

the pats 1st round draft pick in 07
m. cassell and
c. jackson?

i was beginning to think if the pats receiving game didnt start to pick up like it did against the bengals we could even see a trade this season especially if it continued to get worse.

amazing that 2 out of 3 patfans openly scoffed at not only the need, but me saying moss was worth as much as matt cassell, chad jackson, and a 1st round pick the pats have no problem pissing away in a cheating scandal.

even more amazing is the pats didnt even have to give up those throw away players and picks. :dang:
