i say if we do some O-line work, we could do better....13-3, 14-2...lots of possibilities.

wow by that prediction the D doesn't look to good, but I think 12-4 or 13-3 is a good outlook. But I don't believe the Jags walk away with another win!

I believe in the current state of our Steelers to believe we'll lose only 3 or 4 games is highly unlikely....

i really really really don't see us going perfect in the AFC north... as bad as you think those other guys are they have talent and were marred with injuries and/or suspensions... don't get too ahead of yourself.. we have a couple spots to fill on the O-line... and once we get those fixed i see us going 12-4 but not until then

With that D, can you imagine the calls for the DC to be fired on this site:sofunny:. I can see it now, the " Lebeau is old" and the " we need to go to the 4-3 D" post. But all kidding aside, I could never imagine a Steeler team giving up that many points in a season.

Especially giving up 34 to BALTIMORE! :jawdrop:

Personally, I see us having the potential to lose 6 or 7 next year. I also see us winning the division again.

Cleveland and Cinci will probably end up 8-8. The best thing we will have going for us is that we'll be playing "top-flight" competition the whole way.

"That which doesn't break you - Only makes you stronger". We should be primed to lay an ass-whooping come playoff time. Even at 9-7, I still see us making it to the AFC Championship game.

This coming season will prove if we are an "elite" AFC team or not. That schedule can't get much tougher.

Unless our run defense and pass blocking improves, we will not improve upon last years record. If all stays the same with our team against that schedule, we will be anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7.

The Steelers have age creeping in and holes all over the OL and DL. That's not a recipe for success.

I love their optimism but I have to agree with you. Tough assignment next season.
We could well win the division with a 8-8 record.

Some good teams are going to beat each other up next year. We might see a lot of good teams with only 8, 9 or 10 win seasons. MIght be the year of parity next year to make up for this ridiculous circus of a season revolving around the AFC east.

Yeah our schedule is nuts.. we have, if I'm not mistaken, like every single playoff team, since we play the NFC East, and the AFC South, which both had 3 playoff teams.

This year they have no way they can play down to the competition because it's tougher, so they'll have to play up.

 Good point Aussie
I think that with the team that we have right now and the way it played at the end of the year we wouldnt finish with that good of a record in my opinion. We would be lucky to win 6 or 7 games. Our O line pretty much stunk up the league this past season, and next year we face a schedule that gives us 1 game each, home and away that Didnt make the play-offs, the rest of the schedule on each side except for our division teams like Baltimore Cleveland and Cincinnati made the playoffs.

well at least this past yr we saw the off open up and we can hang some big points up on the board... i think that we need o-line b4 d-line just b/c we have our startes on the d-line and can address later but in the o-line we barley have 5 starterts with 1 or 2 back ups.. and we need a wr to step up and be a good slot wr..

I just hope we open against the Cowboys! I want beat them again. It was a blast pounding them in their house back in 04. That was a great game to be at !

If the O Line is ANY better, we'll win 12 games. We almost did this year, if it wasn't for the damned O Line, which Ben got 32 TD passes IN SPITE of, then we would've been a lot better, it's the only glaring flaw we have.

agreed, have to really see the Draft and the FA situation and then, see what other teams on our schedule do, and then, as always, wait out the pre-season and see if anyone goes down for our team, or the opposition. I mean, if the Jags QB breaks his knee in the first pre-season game or LT SD (to emphasize he isn't the real LT) goes down, so do the Chargers.

There is so much that can happen. I just pray nobody under contract for the Steelers face plants a car windshield this off season. That would be nice. And then, hope everyone can make it through the season without losing organs or breaking limbs. That would be nice too.

yep with willie coming back from leg, smith from biceps, and clark from the spleen or w/e exploded inside of him.. i hope they don't have the injury in the back of there mind when the season starts..

Well it just all depends on the upgrades during the off season and if we could possibly fix our o-line. If we somehow get a decent o-line i say our teams goes 11-5, or 12-4.
If the line blows like it always has teams like the Giants will destroy us and we will be 9-4, 10-6!

There's no way Baltimore's going to put up 34 points, even if they're playing against the worst defense in the NFL. Also, I don't think we'll lose to the Colts, even if it is in the RCA dome. They're going down.

i think a 9-7 record is likely... its almost unfair...

KEEP IN MIND

NYG the superbowl champs had this year's toughest schedule and won the superbowl...

two years in a row?
