Wait a minute - Jerry Jones actually thinks? He always struck me as the "impulsive jackass" type that doesn't think.... :chuckle:

Bad move on Zack's part.

If he went to New England, he would have had HGH specialists galore to help him last a few more years in the league. Stupid decision on his part.

I heard the selling point was that the diminutive Thomas would get to see himself on the 60 yard jumbo-tron.

and with this, the cowboys may finally win a playoff game :toofunny:

is it possible he rejected the pats offer because he didn't want to go to the pats?

and don't forget the tons of video knowledge he'd get

there jumbotron is 60 yards??? wow i wonder how much that was.. i could see this move by thomas b/c it's alot easier to get into the playoffs and closer to the superbowl in the nfc than it is in the afc..

If Thomas stays healthy it's a good move by the Cowboys.

so the Cowboys, took a guy that their former coach Parcells, who basically built their team now, cut from his new team.

So when Parcells was with the Cowboys, he was a genius who re-built a dead franchise. But now that he's with the Dolphins, and cuts an overpaid slowing aged migrane having Veteran...he must not know what he's doing.

Another season of a 1st round playoff loss for the Cowboys. Can you say, 1995, last time they've won a playoff game.

Zach Thomas is a Texas native who played his college ball at Texas Tech.

It might just be possible that he wants to go home.

My guess is the Cowpatties don't even make it to the playoffs this year.

That's most likely true, my question is more for the Cowboys. Why take him? Is he going to make the difference for them in a playoff game? Will he even finish the season healthy. If anything, the Houston Texans should have shown interest to try and get him to help develop some of their younger linebackers and be a solid leader for them. The Cowboys have too many "leaders" on their team already. Last thing they need is an aging veteran that's already set in his ways to make that playoff push. I have nothing against Zach, he's been a great for the game. I just hate to see him in that stupid Star helmet.

It's a bit of head scratcher. They have some pretty decent depth at linebacker right now. Maybe he's a guy they see as a special teams/nickel linebacker. I don't know.

i would doub that the cowboys would give him a 3 million dollar contract just to play special teams..

He could be depth, but they've spent some pretty high picks the last couple of years to build on the inside.

I guess we'll see.
