Word from the combine last night was that Samuel is looking for a 10-year, $100 million deal with $30 million guaranteed up front. That would be more than the megacontract corner Nate Clements (eight years, $80 million with $22 million up front) struck with the 49ers last year.

:jawdrop:

He'll most likely get something close to that from some team. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

I don't think Brady makes that much.

He won't get it for blowing that easy Eli INT in XLII.

he'll get it from sucker of a team. i hope that team is the patriots but i doubt it. if he thinks his career will eclipse that of d. branch or n. clements, he is kidding himself.

100 million? yea right!!! HAHAHA

what an idiot.... he doesn't play QB... and thats the only position that i think deserves anywhere near 100 million...

plenty of CB''s everywhere.... if anyone dishes that much money out to him watch them suck for the next 10 years...

Come on.. in all fairness it would have been a great grab... from what I remember he was fully extended and still off his fingertips.

Hell of a contract to give to anyone... especially a 27 year old CB.

Regardless of how the contract is structured, that is going to be WAY too much for a 37 year old CB, someday.

Then again, with the way salaries are inflating... HE MAY BE A STEAL IN 5 YEARS!

ROONEYS! INVEST!

Asuante Samuel?

I would take exactly have the contract for half the tie and put him on the other side of Ike.

That way, we are set at all our DB positions finally (well, just one more LB maybe).

That, a couple of OL'ers, and another WR to come up after Ward... and we are set for a few years.

well i think that the nate deal with the 49er's inflates samuel's lil head trying to get that kinda of contract.. it would be nice to see him play on the opp side of ike but damn that kinda of money is insane..

This seems perfect for the Cowgirls.

I think Jerry Jones must have a different way of doing math if he forks out that kind of $ for Samuels. Somebody better check his accountant for HGH.

For some reason Jerry Jones thinks he can buy super bowls. Its funny watching them lose in the playoffs every year.

I hope Asante has a good time playing in Houston or some other city where they don't know how to spell Playoffs let alone have a shot of making it.

See, the key Asante, to play on a winning team, you can't put all your money on just one guy...especially if its just one corner. I mean, come on man. Enjoy being on a losing team for the next 3 years until they try to dump your over priced arse because you keep letting up big plays when the D-line allows the QB of the other team to have 8 minutes to drop back and wait for the WR to eventually get open from you.
