Looks like the Bungles might be getting a new jailbird, in the form of a previous Colt.

Yep, he's not quite the guy in your sig, but he's a very good pass-catcher, something Cincy's been missing out of the TE position.

Thats it Cincy keep on adding to the offense. Forget the fact that your defense blows.

Eh, there's not really much defense out there on the free agent market. They've already added Antwan Odom and Darryl Blackstock, and hopefully they can land Sedrick Ellis or Glenn Dorsey at #9 in the draft. Factor in the return of Odell Thurman and possible return of David Pollack and they will have had an OK offseason.

A pass catching tight end was actually a big need for Cincinnati...a legitimate threat at that position takes some pressure off of the receivers and provides a good option on third down passes.

Agreed. If either one is there at #9 they'd have to be smokin' crack not to take them. They are absolute beasts. I won't be looking forward to seeing them twice a year.

Nope he's not quite Dallas Clark, I liked Utetch but if he wants to go to the Bungles, have it it my friend.

matt speath replaced utecht in college and blew him away.

speath > utecht

he's still an upgrade for the bungles though (although thats not saying much).

I wouldn't say Spaeth blew him away...
Spaeth's best year: 47 receptions 564 yards 12.0 average 4 touchdowns
Utecht's best year: 37 receptions 480 yards 12.9 average 6 touchdowns

College career stats (4 years each):
Spaeth: 109 receptions 1,293 yards 11.9 average 12 touchdowns
Utecht: 83 receptions 1,211 yards 14.5 average 15 touchdowns

Utecht's a little bit faster and can stretch the field more, as evidenced by the almost 4 more yards he averaged per catch during their college careers. I would classify Spaeth as more of a possession receiver with all of the catches he had.

Couldn't agree with you more. He's the only reason I watch Colts games.
