Well ladies and gents of SF, you heard it here first (well...just here, really :flap:)! I'm getting married with my girlfriend of four years in June. She's a GREAT girl, and I couldn't ask for a better person to be with for the rest of my life.

If there is any drawback to her (lol) is that she is a Cowboys fan :sofunny:. Even then though, that only makes things more interesting because we talk a little smack at each other ever so often. Okay, I do the smack talking. She's actually happy for me when the Steelers do well...didn't I say she was great? But don't worry, I'll make sure that our future kids are raised STEELERS fans. They'll quickly learn that their mother isn't perfect :tt02:

Congratulations on the upcoming event.

Now as far as the children, to make things even better raise them as Cleveland Browns fans, then neither you nor your wife could say either were pressuring the kids to take sides.

Boy would that be a free for all on game day? Just don't let them be Ratbird or Bungle fans, Remember the Bungles SUCK and the Patriots cheat. (just had to remind you, sorry)

Congrats Klick.

To make sure your house stays pure, do what I did when I married my wife. She had a Mike Alstott jersey in the closet and when I got my Steelers jersey, I told her that in order to not taint the jersey she had to get rid of the bucs jersey.

LOL...thanks everyone. A Pats fan? I don't think I'd be able to be with someone with such lack of character :coffee:

Aaaaand trust me...she will NOT convert. She's a true football fan, so her loyalties to that damned team in Dallas are set...hahaha! I actually respect that quite a bit...she takes a whole lotta smack talking from me, but she never changes her tune.

Just so you all get an idea of what kind of girl she is, let me tell you what she's willin to do for her broke ass man and his passion for the Steelers:

In 2005 we were both college students, and therefore BROKE. However, my best friend of 16 years and myself had saved just enough to go to a Steelers game in San Diego...tickets were ridiculously expensive because the previous year, Pittsburgh had that 15-1 season. Needless to say, I wasn't able to get a ticket for her.

Normally this would not be a very big deal, except for the fact that at the time, due to certain circumstances, neither my friend or I had drivers license...the two hour drive from LA to SD would be about a 4 hour trip using public transportation...not really a choice. What does my girl do? She offers to drive us there AND wait the three hours during the game to drive us back....:cooldude:. Now that's LOOOOOVE!!!

Haha...that was just one of the many things/events that made me realize that she's a keeper. Of course, I've made sure to return the favor whenever something has come up.

As sweet as the drive was for her to do, she should have recognized that she was contributing to Steelers Nation and it was a privlege for her to escort two fans to the game. There was no need for you repay it - I'm sure it was her honor. :flap: :sofunny:
