The list of aging veterans (over 30) sits at 13. Two are backup QBs. One is a punter. There are only 4 starters (Farrior, Townsend, Hartings, and Von Oelfhoffen).

In other words, if this team can put future starters in the fold at ILB, C, and DE...this team should contend for the next 3-5 years.

Good, you're young. Cincinnati's gonna need somebody to whip up on in the coming years.
In order to make your signature accurate, you need to place the word "NO" over those checkboxes

Since they were so effective "whipping up" on the Steelers Oct 23rd? Take away Johnson's 47 yards catch in garbage time against the Steelers and he ends up with 3 catches for 47 yards...that's pretty much a good old fashioned bitch slappin'.

I could say "take away this long touchdown catch" for a lot of teams, and he wouldn't have had the numbers, but the fact is - you can't take it away! It was a touchdown catch.
Yeah, it didn't really make a difference at the time, but he still got it.
Not to mention on the first drive he scored and they overturned it, but we could all see it was a TD on the jumbotron at PBS.
He already got that one "taken away", and he came back and scored again.

do you even watch fooball? c. johnson was shut out of the end zone. palmer ran it in. atleast check the boxscores of your own team before you go to a rivals fansite spewing that crap!

A-ha! That's a good one...you have successfully just attempted to change the rules of football that state when a receiver falls on his hands first out of bounds, he's inbounds...

Nice try. I'm wondering...after the spectacular performance against the mighty Packers defense of 5 catches for 62 yards and no TD's if I should add Ahmad Carrol and Al Harris to the list of checkmarks...

You have a promising team.

However, until you beat the Steelers or finish ahead of them in the division or playoffs, your words have no real power to them. You were the Clippers of the NFL for over a decade. The Steelers are coming off a 15-1 season, appear to be well on their way to the playoffs, and manhandled you just two weeks ago.

If you want to discuss things, that's cool. Bengals are good this year, no one will dispute. But don't spout non-sensical hometown garbage. Deal with facts if you want to be taken seriously.

Oh, and Suit... you are right sometimes I forget how young this team is, and it will get younger with the departure of Hartings, Bettis, Maddox, Williams, etc. They are gonna be younger next year.

al harris should get a yes just cause he played for texas a&m university kingsville (which so happens to be the college i'm attending) cj has been shut down against the jags (sure he got a touchdown but he wasn't a factor which means they shut him down) same with the steelers (watch the games don't look at the box scores, suit said it he picked up half his yards when the game was over, so he was shut down from being a factor) and this past sunday he was a non factor, hell if it wasn't for one of the idiot bengal fans ruining momentum the packers might have come back and then won.

Dude, if you could see his feet in that image then maybe, get an angle that shows his feet right before it shows his hand go down.

That was a bad-reffed game on both ends. You guys even had some personal fouls for hitting out of bounds and spiking the balls that shouldn't have been called. I'm not denying that you were the better team that day, especially to come into our house and run all over us. I'm just saying that your cornerbacks can't stop Chad, just like our defense can't stop Bettis or Parker.

I could make a better case for the Packers shutting Chad down. maybe that's why Marvin ripped his list, to save him the embarassment of having to check yes for that game.

You're right, Chad didn't score on that last one, I just threw that in to see if you were paying attention.
But they still didn't shut him down..

The best thing about the division is that we'll see you again, and this next it will pretty much have the playoffs on the line.

Since this has taken on a Bengals - Steelers discussion. Have any of you read this from Collinsworth? Not bad for a former who-dey.

Looks like somebody is bucking for a troll icon .... Please spare us your bengal humor..we're over you guys..we beat you soundly, we whipped up Palmer, shut down rudi, and chad's yards were pointless.. you couldnt stop the run and ur only real offense was TJ..which didnt help u anyways..

we're moving on to bigger things now, and we'll deal w/ u again at Heinz in a few weeks.. you obviously cant get past it; which is a sign of a weak team that you cant move on..so please

get over yourself !!

We could play the "what if?" game, though. What if Carson Palmer threw that ball in bounds and a little closer to Chad? Looks to me like Ike would have either intercepted it or batted it down.

After reviewing the play. The recievers hand landed OUT of bounds before he had both feet down. So the ruling on the field is overturned, No catch, no td. Bengals lose a timeout. Benglas lose game. End of discussion
