Per NFL Network's Adam Schefter, the Cardinals have agreed to terms with free agent OLB Clark Haggans on a one-year contract.

Haggans didn't draw much interest in free agency as a 3-4 system linebacker after leaving Pittsburgh, but the 31-year-old pass rusher will now be reunited with former Steelers assistants Ken Whisenhunt and Russ Grimm.

Arizona made some good progress last season and should be in a position to be a playoff team this season.

It's a nice signing considering their defense was only average last season.

.

definitely, 8-8 was a big improvement for them last season. who would have predicted that? not me for sure. right now they seem to be headed in the right direction, and their division was pretty weak last year

all they need is stability at QB. Warner did a great job last season, but he's not gonna last forever, Leinart has to show what he was at USC, and he has great offensive talent around him to succeed. either they fail or prosper with him now

haggans is a solid pickup for them, glad to see he found a possibly good team

I hope he revives himself and has an awesome season. He was drafted by us, and the way I see it, "Once a Steeler Always a Steeler".... Most of you forget that he helped get that last Ring

Leinart is a season away from being a bust. I hope he can get it together, but I don't have high hopes for him.

if he was willing to sign a 1 year deal, I don't understand why we didn't go with him for 1 year and allow him to mentor, back up, and tackle on STs....seriously.

It isn't like he got his Porter "payday" contract.

That just blows my mind all of these steelers going to arizona if they don't make the grade in pittsburgh why do they think it will work out in arizona.

BSP is the only one I've seen who wasn't a solid player for the Steelers.

I think he gets a little more rope than that. A bad rookie season on a lousy team is nothing to be ashamed of, and he was hurt last season.

Eli was in his fourth year and had bust written all over him until the last two months of 2007.

BSP he wasn't even a solid player for baltimore either maybe the air in arizona will make him an all pro quarterback.
