View Full Version : Eason back in Black and Gold

The Steelers re-signed Nick Eason today to a two-year deal. This obviously came from the falling out of not signing Booger McFarland.

I'm not crazy about this move because I wasn't overly excited about his play last season. I still think a defensive lineman will be taken early on in the draft.

Yes Agree... We are in trouble if we are not able to find someone better via the draft and worth keeping on the roster.
Soemone who can make a play at least sporadically , and not just occupy space while being blocked.

we agreed to deal, we didnt sign. hartwig agreed to a deal around 2 weeks ago but just signed at the beginning of the week.

Reports are saying he failed his physical and the Steelers withdrew the offer.

Does this count as "flicking a booger " :flap:

No doubt, stay out of headlines, and look at future talent. Guess we signed Eason to get a guy in camp to work our "revamped" oline against.

PITTSBURGH ? The Pittsburgh Steelers signed defensive end Nick Eason to a two-year contract, it was announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Eason (6-3, 305) will be entering his sixth year in NFL and second season with the Steelers after originally signing with the team as an unrestricted free agent on April 16, 2007. Prior to joining the Steelers, Eason spent three seasons with the Cleveland Browns (2004-2006) and one season with the Denver Broncos (2003).

Eason has played in 46 career games, including 16 with the Steelers, and has made four starts (one with Pittsburgh). He played in all 16 games in 2007 for the Steelers and made one start at left end in place of the injured Aaron Smith.

I look for the steelers if OG Branden Albert is not there at 23 and that wouldnt suprise me anymore since everyone is talking the guy up so hard at being so flexible about playing OT or G. I think that DE is the next big spot for us to fill unless a top DB falls to us.

I want them to draft marcus howard - of course he is from UGA.

look out for number 38

Not with our first round pick but sometime early on day one...
