View Full Version : Chris Henry Released - Big receiver, but worth the trouble?

Bus36RollsUrlacher

Chris Henry was released by the Bengals today after an altercation with a parking attendant. Seems like he just cannot keep his nose clean. Do you think he gets the Pacman treatment, or is he out of the league? He's a big target at 6'4, and can definitely run routes. He could be a cheap "big receiver" for Ben, but is it worth the trouble?

Yeah! Let's get Pacman too! C'mon Rooneys, don't be cheap! :tt02:

BTW, when is Rae Carruth up for parole? :scratchchin:

NO WAY!!! There is absolutly no way I would ever even consider Chris Henry....5 arrests since 2005....plus there is no way he is going to be in the league next year or maybe even the year after that....if he is let back in at all

If there was anyway in hell he would keep his nose clean I would have been game for it, but he can't. He has so much potential... I love his ability and size, but he isn't worth it.

i think whomever was looking for Ocho Cinco may prefer this cheaper option. If they dont' mind the BS he brings.

If PacMan got banned, why isnt this guy?

Big receiver , but worth the trouble?

man, I'm getting tired of hearing the those words. for all we know the steelers could go into the season with 5 receivers and none be over 6 ft

I would like a good receiver that stays out of trouble, chris henry is not that

tony hipchest

randle-el at $6 mil/year getting 2 catches per game > chris henry at $450,000/year getting 10 catches per game.

My guess is the Bengals moved to cut him, to free cap space and a roster spot knowing full well the NFL was going to come down with an Hammer on Henry and Mr Henry won't be seeing an NFL field next season unless he's working as a vender who picks up garbage after a game.

I think you are wrong and that Steelers fans would be very against signing him, one because he's a former Bengal and Two because The BENGALS SUCK!!!

He's a former Bengal and a receiver.
The Pittsburgh-Cinci rivalry is kept alive because of the large rivalry between the Pittsburgh secondary and the Cinci Receivers.
So the receivers there are hated here.
So it isn't happening.

This is a no-brainer. I mean, he could be out of the league in a few months. There are better receivers out there who aren't missing any screws.

SIGN HIM SIGN HIM SIGN HIM!!!

You haters got this all wrong! You got to think outside the box.

I say sign him just in case New England or Indy decide to start a former parking attendant at QB! He could lay a serious smack down as a CB. Could be the difference in the playoffs.

Blount, Woodson, Henry.... the legacy continues.

OK so sue me.....I'm a few days late posting this joke.

I don't think this is a garbage thread. Forums are for people to talk and give their opinions. That is why it was posted and why you took the time to reply.

Personally, I don't like the guy and I think that he will continue to screw up his life with immature things like this. He's a guy on the bad side of being a professional who thinks that his status as a pro athlete entitles him to something, which could not be farther from the truth.

On the guy's physical talent, he's not that bad, and if he is not gone for the rest of his career, he'll land somewhere and hopfully get it all figured out. In Cincy, who are the veterans that can lead this guy and show him what is right and wrong? Chad Johnson? Marvin Lewis? Right... That whole team is a time bomb waiting to explode or implode. Right now, he's an immature punk who does not have a clue as to what it means to be a professional athlete.

bengals cut Henry because they could see the future, and the future has the NFL coming down with a Hammer and kicking Henry out of the league for at least the 08 season. So by cutting him, the Bengals (SUCK) save cap room.

Its all about the Dollars.

I'd guess if found guilty, Henry gets some jail time out of this. He has to have been on and violated probation in some way.

Shouldn't be such a change, from Bengals Stripes to Prison Stripes.
