If I cared more about politics I might have disowned the Steelers for that move. Thankfully, I've come to my senses, they all lie, the Steelers didn't give her the shirt, and when it's all said and done - Steeler fans are going to be either D's or R's and on game day I could care less!!!

But did you have to print the picture?

It'll be an Eagles jersey tomorrow...

And a Panthers & UNC jersey before the NC primary & Colts & IU jersey before the Indiana primary

IMO the photo op of Franco & The Bus with Obama carries a little more weight with this Steelers fan than a local hack politician posing with the Wicked Witch of the West & a Steelers jersey

It wasn't AJR II with her - just a local hack

Anyone can buy a NFL jersey with any name on it (except for a Falcons jersey with Vick or Mexico on the back:sofunny:)

And you think Clinton is not a Socialist? Besides being a lier and thief. Who stole stuff from the White house when they moved out and were ordered to bring it back?

Who was it under oath could not remember anything but is writing memoirs? Some people just seam to forget little things like that. Or how she was under sniper fire yet video and photos show it is a lie, but some still believe it.

wow. 1st of all the rooneys never handed bill a jersey (let alone a freaking superbowl ring). 2nd, i havent forgotten those little things. he got his dick sucked and lied about it. :hunch: (i woulda lied too) let he who has never lied cast the 1st stone. 3rd, comparing clinton to a russian leader is a bit extreme.

And I can list a lot of stuff about the darling of Evangelical movement, Mike Huckabee.

I can't stand it when people start thinking that any one in this current crop of morally bankrupt leaders is above doing some really shady stuff.

There isn't one person alive on this earth that can claim they are "Perfect". NONE! For those in this world who are free to vote, it's about which candidate lies less, cheats less, and seems to be most honorable - something I don't see in Clinton or Obama, which makes McCain the lesser of two evils.

McCain arrives in Pittsburgh

Monday, April 14, 2008

Senator John McCain arrived in Pittsburgh tonight on the eve of what his advisers called a "big and ambitious" speech on the economy that he will deliver at Carnegie Mellon University tomorrow -- spanning taxes, the budget, health care rising gas prices, prescription drugs and education.

Mr. McCain's philosophy, [a spokesperson] stressed, is "focused on wage earners and people who pay payroll taxes, on those who work for living and those who provide jobs," she added. While the senator believes there is "a distinct role" for government, "the truest measure of prosperity in America is the success and financial security of those who are wage earners and meet payrolls."

Mr. McCain's first stop this evening was at the Omni William Penn Downtown, where he greeted well-heeled supporters at a private, $1,000-a-ticket fundraiser.

I love how they all price the common man out of political participation.

The Democrats do the same exact thing...you don't hold private fund raisers at soup kitchens...you appeal to the well-healed, and there are plenty of wealthy liberals.

Definitely true, but Obama has been pulling down a lot of contributions below the $2300
max through the Internet

Just as the GOP mastered direct mail solicitations in the 1980s, the next generation fundraising tool is Internet solicitations.

I think the P-G article's point was the McCain sound bite for the day was supposed to be his support for "wage earners" but it was stepped on by McCain (just as Obama did at the San Francisco fundraiser where the "bitter" comment was made) needing to go pay the bills by attending a fat cat fundraiser

I commented on this elsewhere, but Obama has redefined campaigning, and he ate Clinton's lunch (she of the "let's do 1992 all over again" campaign strategy, as if the world was static) by embracing emerging media and the internet. Part of the reason I wouldn't be all that upset to see him elected is the fact that he has a track record (Yes, for his detractors, a relatively short one, but a track record nonetheless) of turning convention on it's head. Every now and then there needs to be a shake-up.

I understand what your saying... but his policies scare me too much. However, I would rather have him than Hillary. At least I feel that when he says the sky is blue, I don't have to go out and look up to make sure I am not being lied to. Both he and McCain have that going for them.

The guy is smart. If he gets in office, he'll surround himself with experienced personnel...the world won't go to Hell in a handbasket.

But I still prefer McCain.

Hey, if the country survived clinton and hillary care, it will survive anything. Like I said, it is his policies that scare me... I don't want to see a reversal of certain things because I think it will send a wrong message.

But at least with Obama... I wouldn't cringe when I had to put "president before his name."

I sure had to with clinton... especially when I was overseas and everyone was making fun of him. That was the only time I was truly embarrased to be an American. When an IMAM was laughing, said Bill Clinton, and started tugging his zipper up and down.
