I watch sometimes, I hear with the new arena being built they may expand back to Pittsburgh. I would like that.

I try to watch it whe I see it on. I undersand whats going on and all... but it does not hold my interest for longer than 10 minutes at a time.

If I had a team to root for, I'd probably be more excited. If they do expand back to the Burgh, then I may be good to go.

Like i dont get into individual players or teams standing if that but it is kind of fun during the offseason just to watch the end of a close game or watch some of the sick plays they make

I don't follow it but I watch some arena football. I usually just watch to see some of the players that I watched in college but never made the pros.

If Pittsburgh gets a team back, I hope it ties in to the Steelers kinda like the one in Dallas does.

Black and Gold Unis would be sweet

I think it's a law in Pittsburgh that any and all sports teams must wear black and gold. :tt03:

And well it should be! It took a few years for the pens to get it right, but they did finally in the 70's

I have a cousin who plays for the L.A. Avengers...Josh Jeffries... So I do follow his team. When I was in N.C. we had a team Carolina Cobras (long since gone), I went to a couple games, and it was alot of fun to watch. Our QB at the time was Steve McNair's brother Fred McNair...

Me. too. I keep trying now & then but it is just too strange...Tiny indoor field, no sidelines...just not the same.

We have a local Arena 2 Football team, the Mahoning Valley Thunder, near Youngstown, Ohio. Going to a game cost about $12 each, and actually is a fun time. Sort of like baseball and hockey, I can't watch it on TV, but it's a blast in person.

Here's the latest I've heard about it - it's about a year-old article, though:

A replacement for Mellon Arena is expected to be ready for the start of the 2009-10 NHL season, and that might prompt another new addition for Pittsburgh: an Arena Football League team.

On the heels of the Arena Football League's 20th anniversary, Chris McCloskey, the league's executive vice president of communications, recently confirmed in a statement to the Post-Gazette that there have been preliminary talks about bringing an expansion team to Pittsburgh in the near future.

Says the fan of the city that has like 8,000 classic rock stations and are fans of donnie iris. :P.

Oh and before you get all pissy at me, I dig classic rock, So I actually liked the radio stations when I was there.

The reason why St. Bernie chose to keep the name is because people kept comparing him and the 85-'90 Browns as "gladiators"
