What's going on with Tampa Bay this off-season. Every move they make, or don't make, seems to be wrong and creates more animosity.

1. They don't re-structure and extend starting QB Jeff Garcia's (http://tampabay.com/sports/football/bucs/article448645.ece)contract, ticking him off.

2. Earnest Graham doesn't get a raise despite moving from special teams player to starting RB.

3. Backup QB Chris Simms (http://www2.tbo.com/content/2008/jun/10/sp-irreparably-broken/?sports-bucs) doesn't understand why the Bucs didn't trade him when they had three offers.

4. TE Jerramy Stevens was re-signed, setting off a huge PR debacle. The team's website then bans a story (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/06/08/the-bucs-ask-that-you-not-talk-about-the-stevens-rape-case/) about Steven's rape case from his college days from their forum.

5. The team had a ton of money under the cap to spend in free agency but didn't bring in any impact players.

6. With a glaring weakness at WR, the Bucs add no new receivers.

Can't imagine what the tone of the fans and the media will be like when the team loses a couple of games this fall.

They will be lucky to be a 500 team this year.

I don't know why they just don't do it. It's not like they have anyone they believe can lead the team if he were to retire after his contract is up.

2. Earnest Graham doesn't get a raise despite moving from special teams player to starting RB.

Holding out hope that the Cadillac will make a full recovery and come back ands till be a beast? But Graham does deserve a raise, at least to a #2 back type of raise.

3. Backup QB Chris Simms (http://www2.tbo.com/content/2008/jun/10/sp-irreparably-broken/?sports-bucs) doesn't understand why the Bucs didn't trade him when they had three offers.

They should have. He's a good player who deserves to compete for a starting job, something that won't happen in TB. He gave his spleen for the Bucs, and this is how he's repaid.

Should have let him go. He's a rapist, a punk, a thug. Not to mention he's unreliable in both as a pass catcher and a blocker.

5. The team had a ton of money under the cap to spend in free agency but didn't bring in any impact players.

Who really was out there that could help? Asante Samuel wasn't even on the market, he only met with the Eagles. Any other impact player was franchised. They did make their offensive line better by picking up that center from the Saints.

6. With a glaring weakness at WR, the Bucs add no new receivers.

They could have gone after one in the draft. The Bengals and Redskins both took two within the first three rounds. We took Limas Sweed in the second round. But they didn't which was shocking. But there are rumors swirling around that Aqib Talib will be used to return kicks/punts on ST, play some nickel/dime back on defense, and may even line up as a receiver on offense.

I have a good friend who is a Buccaneers fan. He sees no reason to be optimistic about this year. Especially if the Saints come on strong and the Panthers get Jake Delhomme back for a full season.

This could be the worst division in football where an 8-8 team gets the division...or a competitive division between the offensive firepower of the Saints, the defense of the Bucs, and the offensive and defensive combo Carolina puts out there.
