I'm doing this on other boards, so I figured we could do it here to.

After answering a question, give your own. And please quote the question you're answering.

O/U: Ben Roethlisberger throws for over 4,000 yards?

Woodley will have more then 10 sacks this year.

Under, and not even close. Theres a reason he doesn't intercept the ball well and that doesn't change from one year to the next.

Timmons starts 8 games this year

Under - Teams are going to start playing the pass much more during the season with 2 straight years of 400+ pass attempts.

C. Hampton starts 14 games

C. Hampton starts 14 games

Over, considering he hasn't played under 15 games in a season since 2004.

Parker and Mendenhall - 2,000 combined rushing yards.

Assuming a health Parker, I'll go under (but barely). The team (according to the TC posts I've read) seem intent on passing more. The next season (depending on the development of Mendenhall) is a completely different scenario.

Combined receiving TDs by TEs and Sweed, 12.

Definitely over, considering Heath Miller had 7 TDs and Matt Spaeth had 3, and with the increased passing, it will definitely happen.

Rashard Mendenhall will star 2 games.

Star or start? :flap:

I think that's about equal, but I'll go with under for argument's sake. I love Willie but I wanna see a B&G Mendenhall tear it up.

Ben will be sacked 33 times.

Oops, I meant start.

Over. I definitely think that the O-Line will improve in pass protection, but not 30% decrease like that.

The Steelers will win the Superbowl once in 2008.

Timmons starts 8? Over. He starts all 16 (barring injury)
Ward catches 10? Under. Santo's year, baby
RM TD's 4? 6? 8? Over. He's the short/goal line back and gets 10
Ben passes for 4,000? Over
RM and Parker combine for 2,000? Under...we'll too busy passing the ball at will against teams.

The Steelers go 10-6 in 2008.

Over. I think they will be 9-7, but they will be a better team this year than last year. The record just won't show it.

Marvel Smith plays 14 games
Justin Hartwig starts 14 games at Center

Under. Neither Kordell Stewart nor Antawn Randle El ever caught more than 3 in a season either. Dixon hasn't even played a game yet.

Willie Parker gains over 1,000 yards despite getting less carries.

I'll take even. Woodley and Timmons havent had a break out year yet by my definition, they will this season in a big way. ( Davis will have a season similar to Woodleys last and Humpal will emerge as a special team demon.)

Punter Paul Ernster plays 10 regular season games.

Not going to happen. Harrison's juggernaut game will be against New England. :tt:

Over/Under: 750 yards rushing, Rashard Mendenhall.
Over/Under: 5 TD, Limas Sweed

Under - Between an offense that aims to open it up more and a healthy FWP, he won't get as much 1st and 2nd down action. 3rd and shorts he might do well with, but those don't typically lead to 750 yards over a season.

Under - He's a rookie WR.

Over/Under: Your D-line gets 6 sacks (combined)

We win 3 games against the NFC East (we're playing the whole division, thats the division with the Giants, 'Skins, Cowboys, and Eagles.)

Push - I am not sold on the Skins or Eagles at all...whereas the Giants you should win, but they could be tough if their playoff run was a sign of things to come. The Boys are no pushovers and have a really good defense that could pose matchup problems. You'll likely lose to either the Giants or Cowboys, but not both.

You win 3.5 games to the AFC South. (to avoid another push in statistics)
