PITTSBURGH, PA -- Pittsburgh Steeler's Head Coach Mike Tomlin and Defensive Coordinator Dick Lebeau have admitted to new methods to keep their men working hard.

No, they were not joking.

"We were trying to keep this hidden for as long as we could, but we knew it would come out eventually," said Tomlin.

As they told me, they have hired over 110 hookers to service the men after hours. Most of the rookies get treatment once every other day, while star players such as Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Receiver Hines Ward get as many as 2-3 women a night.

On the other hand, Trainer Lucas Gallogly is very unhappy about it.

"I am strongly against this method. Many of our star players have gone out with injuries, such as Ben (Roethlisberger) and Troy (Polamalu), because of these threesomes and foursomes. They are definitely fun, but they can get very wild," said Gallogly. "I have to admit that they do seem happier and more upbeat, but it isn't worth risking their health. All it takes is one fiesty women, and Ben's got a sore groin. Even if we don't stop doing this completely, we should at least limit it to one woman at a time."

It is true that it seems that many of their star players like Hines Ward, Ben Roethlisberger, Lamarr Woodley, and Troy Polamalu have gone down with hamstring or groin injuries.

"None of those injuries happened on the field. You and I both know where they happened," said Gallogly.

These less-than-orthodox methods will definitely garner much attention, but only time will tell how it goes over. What will the Commissioner think? What will the fans think?

With all the extra calories that Casey has to burn I would sure be wishing that I wasnt allocated his way for a therapy session.

"Casey (Hampton) has not been getting any treatment from the girls," says Coach Mike Tomlin. "Once he gets his weight down, I'll consider it."
