Here we go, although the Texans don't have a fantastic offense, they do have a strong defense so therefore I predict a close game.

The Texans will be a tougher team than they look. I wouldn't be too surprised if this game ended up being close. And it's not too far fetched that the Steelers may blow this one. This is one of those toss up games.

Offense sputters due to the awful O-Line, Texans build early lead. Texans Defense tallies four sacks as Ben finally pulls the team out of the mud in the 4th quarter.

Ben absorbs 2 sacks by Mario Williams, one due to the o-line and one because he held onto the ball to long.

Ben throws 3 TD's, 0 INT's, and over 300 Yds.

Fast Willie goes over 120 yards with 1 TD.

Mendenhall gets a TD, not sure about yardage.

The defense kicks ass shutting down the Texans offense except for one long pass play from Shuab to Johnson.

It's going to be rather tough to predict this game, because if the early forecast is correct, we're going to be dealing with rain and thunderstorms from the remnants of Hurricane Hanna on Saturday and Sunday. And in those conditions, absolutely anything can happen.

hmm....rain, heinz field. with that my prediction is....

3-0 Steelers :tt02:

but I'm actually looking for something like 21-10

texans have a great D, but their offense is not ready to go against the best defenses in the league yet. should be a fun game, lots of defensive action

and ben survives :hope:

Steelers win is all I'm confident with. I'm guessing it'll be somewhere in the balls park of mid 20's to maybe 10?

But i will say this: ANY scenario in which we lose this game is disastrous. This is a team we MUST beat, even if by one point in tripe OT.

ricksteelers55

No matter what the score is this is one game we can't lose. With a schedule as tough as ours,we need to put some money in the bank early.

last year we lost games like Cards,Jets and Ravens so you never know.

but if we play 60 minutes and dont turn the ball over we should be ok

Here we go steelers

Sad but true.

Or Bruce Arians completely opens it up early and put the honus on the Texans to play catch up. We need an aggressive quick play first quarter and plenty of oxygen for Kemo.

No doubts here about our D vs the Texans O. I say play regular Steelers football 1st and halfway through the 2nd quarter, then come out no huddle for the remainder of the 2nd, make em go into the locker room thinking.

i it be nice to see the off come and put up a fist half like they did against the ravens on mon night,, that would be a very nice statement to rest of the nfl if the steelers could do that

Seeing as this might be another bad weather home game this Sunday, I don't know if Arians will open up the offense. He'll instead insist on playing violent football and running Willie and Rashard into 8 man fronts, then forcing Ben to play Houdini on 3rd and long...consistently. Which then opens him up to more blitzes and probably sacks.

And we all know how this O-Line will make ANY Defensive Line look like the Steel Curtain.

Steelers win!

I think the OTs hold up well this game, no real speed rushers from the outside. O-line has a good game, Steelers win by more than a TD.

On the flip side, if it's yucky out, the Texans are going nowhere against our defense. We are still extremely tough to run against.

The Texans are an improving team, I see them pushing for aplayoff spot this year. Big ben has a nice game with 2 TDs, and Reed adds the other 6. Hopefully our O-Line can keep Mario away from Ben!

I think this too.

Mario Williams, Amobe Okoye, DeMeco Ryans and co. are a good defense. The Texans will not be a push over, but its a game the Steelers need to win and Reed becomes the hero again.

I picked the Steelers in my football pool at work. This was one of those games I wasn't sure about because of the Texans front four vs the Steelers O-line.

In the end, I give the edge to the Steelers.

10-9

This is a game that could easily go either way.

Which 6? You'd have to do some funny type of math with the numbers given us to find a way to work 6 in. LOL

Damn, I knew I was missing something in there. Is it a missed EP or does Tomlin go for two to make it an even 35?
