From: Roger Goodell.

To: All NFL teams

As you are obviously aware Tom Brady was injured in the game today. The initial diagnosis has him missing eight weeks. Since we here at the commissioner's office feel that the NFL can not continue without Tom Brady, we have had to make a difficult decision. The NFL season will be suspended until such time as Tom Brady can return to the league. Obviously, this a drastic decision, but we and Bob Kraft feel this is the only fair solution. We look forward to resuming the season when the only player who really counts is able to return.

Thank you,

Roger Goodell

I'm just waiting to see/hear that this will be an * year to whomever wins the SB just like when the Spurs won in 1999 because of it being a strike shortened season.

Don't see why, seeing as how they're not the defending champs and haven't won jack shit since the 2004 season. However, you're probably right. After all, the Giants are still getting absolutely no respect for winning it all last year - all you hear is how the Pats* lost it. :coffee:

Maybe Goodell will just have the league wear a #12 on their jerseys in honor of the almighty ass chin.
