I thought the Houston game was going to be close/tough last week. Turns out it wasn't.

So I'm going out on a limb and say this game will be tough.

Behind the early season hype, the home crowd, and being in primetime against an arch rival, the Brownies come out fighting against the Steelers. Cleveland grabs the early momentum and get an early score. First Quarter is close. Steelers, calm and collected, take Cleveland's best shots. String a few scores together, put their foot on the pedal and don't let up.

Steelers 31, Browns 14.

Ben plays catch with recievers all night against Cleveland's putrid secondary.

That might be the case, but how could I not go with the following classic Brownies prediction?

41-0 baby! :tt02:

The Browns always play us tough, but we've gotten into their heads, so I'm going to say

Steelers 34
Browns 16

I don't think the Browns will play as badly as they did last week, but going by what I saw on Sunday I don't think the Brown secondary can match our passing game on a good day. If they try to help the secondary, I think Parker is going to rip them up. I saw something Sunday that I haven't seen for a while. I say Pittsburgh put their foot on another teams throat and push hard.

Steelers 34
Browns 10

Dallas really set us up to walk into a hornets nest. Nevermind the fact, this is the Browns superbowl.

If we're as good as we think we are, we should win by more than a TD. We need to take advantage of a wounded animal, but those are also the most dangerous.

If the STs hold up and we don't turn the ball over, we win in similar fashion as last week.

Steelers win.

The Browns offense didnt look too bad last week a couple of drops hurt them plus their defense couldnt get the Cowboys off the field. Sunday nights havent been easy for our Steelers so I think this is going to be a tough test for the boys.

I'm putting this game on the shoulders of the defense - not for the fact that our offense won't score but instead that the defense hold out the shutout...

34-17. Browns score (3) early, then don't score again until garbage time.

A lot like last weeks game. We jump up fast, Ben is efficient, then we run the ball to control the clock and keep their O off the field.

Hi guys...I'm back! (Didja miss me???:flap:)

Anyway, just want to say good luck this week..

My prediction for the game:

In OT:
Browns-31
Steelers-30

Now, let's hope and pray that:
1. I'm right
2. Noone gets hurt.
3. Romeo doesn't feel the urge to kick a field goal in place of a TD

i think it will be a high scoring game as well unless the d can step up and play up to there standards... so i'm going with the score either gonna be 28-14 or 41-31

The_WARDen

I think this'll be classic Steelers/Clowns...

Hence, the score will be like Steelers 31 Clowns 10 with Parker/Mendenhall running for 200+ yds. Ben getting 250 yds (only because he's watching Leftwich get some reps in the 4th quarter again).

A lot like last weeks game. We jump up fast, Ben is efficient, then we run the ball to control the clock and keep their O off the field.

Jumping out fast is critical , score 10 to 14 points the first two posessions. Take the fight out of them immediately THEN PILE IT ON BEFORE THE END OF THE FIRST HALF. Then we can introduce Brady Quinn to Blitzburg after the crowd demands his prescence. 41 -17 I am a believer.

Nothing's changed. They're still my team. I knew they sucked in 1999. The real score is going to be Cleveland 27 Pittsburgh 13. (That better?)

LOL I think they'll give a much better showing than they gave last week...but if my brother's observations are true (most dominant Pittsburgh performance ever) my team has it's work cut out for them.

Rooting for a team...and knowing your teams limitations are two different things.

I'll be on this site posting in the game thread while I watch the game Sunday night...but that does't mean I can't be realistic about my teams chances.

Throughout the preseason, I've watched my team get progressively worse.

16-14 Steelers... I hate to say it but this is one of those trap games for the Steelers. I see the Browns dominating in the first half and us looking real bad... 14-6 at halftime. Then in the second half Roethlisberger will come through and turn the game around. Hopefully I am wrong and we score 21 in the first half and 21 in the second half :-)

I really think that the steelers can push their will on the browns defense as the Cowboys did last week in the running game and that means alot of trouble for that secondary for the Brownies. As long as our oline can make some holes Willie will get through them. I look for Rashard Mendenhall to get more touches this week as well.

He's playing DE in a 3-4 defense...they aren't supposed to be fast pass rushers as much as stout guys at the point of attack who can tie up blockers so the LBs can make plays. Personally, I think they have him on the wrong side of the line as he should be a RE, not a LE.
